  1. For those that do not wish to be switching between Bluetooth and wired phones, I see Griffin makes a wired adapter called the SmartTalk that contains a mic and a jack to plug your IEMs, etc. in. $20. Picked one up, but haven't tested yet as I have an ear infection at the moment.
  2. Well, after shuckin' and jivin' for nearly a month and then sampling the current EP (they have a trial with three EPs over three months - no CC requested), I signed up for the B&W annual membership (ALAC/FLAC) today. If anyone has any questions in the future feel free to ask. Hopefully be some good stuff. All recorded at Peter Gabriels studio. Current Bossa Nova disc by Julianna Raye sounds really nice. Still a few days to sample that EP if anyone wants. From site: * B&W commissions each artist with the creative guidance of our partners at Real World [studios]. * [b&W] then pay that artist an advance and finances the creation of the recording, and associated content, at Real World Studios. * Each album [b&W] commissions is offered for one month as part of the B&W Music Club. * Following an additional month, the rights to the album returns to the artist, who is then free to arrange a more traditional release deal with anyone they choose.
  3. Well, I finally picked up an iPhone. Should be good to have access when I don't with the iPod touch. Now to watch that PocketJockey vid again.
  4. Less talk. More walk. Errr, actually more talk.
  5. What gives? Shouldn't there be at least one passed-out-in-bathtub photo already?
  6. And finally for those who want to know what's next... Where Does Election Coverage Go After Holograms?
  7. Looks like there's an iTunes Apple Remote/iPenq-like app for Android (at least in theory): Android Itunes Remote: iTunes Remote App for Android Looks Fantastic
  8. I assume many/most have already seen this poster (online or in print), but as it came up in conversation today I thought I'd link in case some haven't. Death and Taxes: 2009 Edit: And this has nothing to do with todays holiday. Just thought I'd link since it came up.
  9. Both. This is their holiday stock up. When I last posted this was the 'next time' according to the help.
  10. And another $.05 sale is on... BevMo! - Wine - 5 Cent Sale

Just saw The Complete Musician: An Integrated Approach to Tonal Theory, Analysis and Listening is $80 off and only $9.95 at Edward R. Hamilton.
  12. Don't miss the other hi-rez music sites a few threads down.
  13. You know this is a time of collective relief and celebration. What the fuck am I doing debating with people who still think Bush was the correct choice the last eight years? I'm outta this thread.
  14. If you find gay sites inherently unworthy of your trust, [ame=http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=fluid&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=condoleezza+rice+lesbian+vp+choice&spell=1]perhaps you should ask your friend Google[/ame]. I do though like the DailyKos & Huffington Post remark. Well, the first time anyway.
  15. And handled her National Security Advisor or Secretary of State positions much better. And was from a party that wasn't afraid of her sexual orientation and at least lesbian rumors. Just think you might have had a smart and experienced Condi as a VP choice over the opposite in Palin. But she may not sleep with men. grawk, if you still think Bush was better than Gore/Kerry, could you describe the situation you think the country would be in now if either of them was in power? Could we really be in worse shape? Eastern seaboard blown up or something? I'm trying to think realistically how it could be theoretically worse? And I'm just happy we've avoided Ron Paul supporters in this thread. Okay, I admit. I have intolerance for them.
  16. Maybe this thread has gotten a little too serious, but are you making a joke or actually equating a 47/57 slip-up with thinking a continent was a country?
  17. Movie was way too stylistic and clean. For the subject it should have been a little dirty, no? You know, explosions and torture may leave marks? Give a little physicality. May even help the acting. As I've said before, stay a comic/graphic novel or become a movie. Don't fail at both.
  18. Thanks for that. And can this be true - Palin thought Africa was a country? .
  19. Me like. Now we just need that DAC-only version.
  20. Well, considering what they do to cooks who make sloppy, slimy eggs... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc3SEBA-9nU]YouTube - Jesco White on Sloppy Eggs[/ame]
  21. So the not-religious have put forth exactly which popular state or national propositions/laws (in this country) that took away your rights to perform what? No self-professed agnostic or atheist has ever taken away anothers right to personally pray, read their preferred holy book, enter into a relationship with whoever you preferred, vote, spend money, watch TV, etc. It's only the status-quo believers who fight change because accepting others viewpoints can impede their majority/governing current status. Their god and beliefs above all others. Unquestionably. If I'm going to be generous I guess some statue/sculpture debates have gone a bit overboard, but even there there is historical and multi-religion display options. Meanwhile shall we list the number of laws targeting other beliefs and/or non-believers? Shall we look at Ms. Dole's ad again? See the difference? Stop attacking those who have different beliefs or none faith-based and you'll probably stop hearing them complain about your attempts to take away their beliefs. Simple. To state those tolerant must accept all intolerance is arguably immoral, but certainly unethical and impractical.
  22. Will be interesting to watch if change happens. Especially if you stop with the them blacks and their free ride shit. Do you really think you can change?
  23. It's a little problematic to be tolerant of the intolerant, and although they've been forward thinking and on the edge of progressive movements in the past, religion (extremist or moderate) doesn't have a very good track record (actually horrible) on personal, social and civil rights lately. It's not surprising as religion fades from public life its more extreme members are more representative and feel their 'time honored' and 'god directed' beliefs under assault. So lash out. As one incomprehensible sign read near where I work "I honor your rights. You honor mine. Yes on 8." Err your right to ahistorical marriage beliefs? So it's not about gay rights? Lets meet in the middle - no marriage for you. Aardvark baguette, why attempt to equate all beliefs/belief systems when it comes to voting (or anything else)? That's an obvious slippery slope. Why not keep it more on the plane of reasonably substantiated beliefs instead of just faith-based ones? That we can agree or at least have a platform to debate on. I may have a long list of reasons why I think aliens are controlling my thoughts, the earth is supported on a team of turtles, JC is needed to wash away my Adam-given sins, and I vote thus.... but is it unreasonable to expect unsubstantiated beliefs may be marginalized by the larger public at the very least in commentary? Well except the majority of the public (in this country) believes one of those thoughts.
  24. I've never heard a Shure model I thought competed with the Etys, but it depends if the top or bottom of the spectrum is more important to you. If you come from the ER4S-side (which as you mentioned is bass shy in comparison), Shures (and most UEs for that matter) sound a bit muddy. Think of the dyna/stats rule.
  25. So Jeepster you didn't vote for Ms. Dole? Dole Ad Fabricates Audio Of Opponent Yelling "There Is No God" And Voltron why is it easy to imagine the kind of nightmares people have when they start using the phrase "gay agenda"? Now "gay armada" sounds kinda cool though.
