Well, the closest you can get.... Customizer 104/105 (though I'd recommend their SpaceSaver to save space - same internals). Big fan of Unicomp (current licensers of Mod M). Otherwise Microsoft 4000s come up on sale frequently ($30-40). Get the Unicomp though.

I don't lean that way, but I never knew hacking could be so fun. Hmmm, time to watch the punishment in Secretary again.

I can vouch the W1000 sounds quite nice from the headphone out. And very very nice with 007t/Sigs. BTW, anyone ever try the Duet case? Room for breakout cable and all? Never thought I'd say this, but may sell the Pico to finance this Duet purchase.

Think of ten ways you'd like to punish someone who tampered with your computer. Now does any of them come remotely close to this?

Who's going to prove Knuckledragger doubt wrong? Thanks the link Dusty. Seems competition is ramping up. Have a feeling I'll be picking one up over the next few months. Job has me on the go and would be fun to project flicks on wall from iPhone/MacBook. Can't say any video I've seen from any model has very black blacks yet though.

Anyone have any experience here? Kinda tempted by the 3M MPro 100 (which appears to be running $300). With VGA and composite could be good for laptop/iPhone/Touch use.

Try #2... ... and animated gifs can't be attached.

Okay, I assume no one has one. Even ignoring the HD aspect, the analog FM seems to measure well from the second review.
-
Grawk, I see the bitrates listed in the first review (thought not sure the technology). Could it be even worse than sat radio? Still I wonder how the radio performs for analog FM. I just unsubscribed from Sirius (held on to it this long mostly for Stern) and although internet radio & podcasts (with their own bitrate issues) will likely fill most of the void, I thought of going back to FM if indeed a good tuner could get more stations.

Anyone have any experience with the Sony XDR-F1HD tuner? Lots of positive reviews: The Audio Critic Sony XDR-F1HD David's DX Website - Sony XDR-F1HD Radio Review ... but wondering if anyone here has one?

For those who may be curious about the SendStation PocketDock Line Out USB and iPhone use ... SendStation News 05.2007 | PocketDock Line Out USB now iPhone enabled

I can vouch that my recently purchased iPhone performs quite a bit better under 3G than Edge in the Bay Area. Thing is I do turn off 3G quite often as I'm around Wi-Fi for many activities and when I'm running around the automatically running activities (Mail & BeejiveIM) I could care less if they retrieve data a bit slower. Minor sacrifice for the increased bat life. BTW, anyone else using BeejiveIM? I didn't think I'd ever pay that much for an app, but along with Byline (Google Reader basically reformatted), it's money well spent.

Checked out the wireless podcasting functionality on the 2.2 update last night. Pretty cool. I've recently put Sirius/Stern on hiatus as I'm giving various Podcast shows (This American Life, The Moth, New Yorker, Onion News Network, Selected Shorts, TEDTalks) a try for daily commute and this option, even with some requirements on wifi use for >10MB files and an unusual workflow, is definitely a plus towards keeping the iPhone/Touch filled with content. Great to grab a show for the road at the last second without starting up the computer. Give it a try if you haven't.

Could you give a few more details on your preferences between the main models?

Looks like they're finally shipping with a headphone jack adapter - T-Mobile G1s now shipping with 3.5mm headphone adapters included - Engadget

Yeah. Feel bad for those iPod speaker owners including a couple friends. One of the moves lately I don't agree with Apple on. For those looking, it appears the SendStation PocketDock USB is setup for iPhones.

The Sik Din works with my Touch, but doesn't with my iPhone unfortunately (audio wise). As for current cables working on all models, I thought the cables were backwards compatible (not past cables not forward).
-
I know this was also discussed earlier, but since there's been some time since, anyone discover a reasonably inexpensive line-out adapter that works with the iPhone?

2.2 Update is available now.

Well, I think the most retarded aspect would be many of the options have a colored screen cover. Why would you want to make the iPhones screen all red/purple/yellow? And then add a customized etching on top of it? Make those videos pop! How is this usable? But I still would like a 'naked' version. EDIT: Okay, I'm an idiot. These are evidently (in at least some instances) flip/lids.

Thanks you two. I did run through nearly all of iLounges reviews and did see the TuffWrap. Lots of good info. In the end I just ordered a ToughSkin. Bulky, but I had a previous model on an iPod and as I consider the iPhone too big for pocket use anyway (okay, it's my first smartphone I'm used to much smaller ones - maybe I'll adjust), I didn't mind adding a little more bulk. I will say if I had unlimited funds I think I'd be eyeing these.

As my above post indicates I'm lookin' for a case. Just thought I'd let everyone else know while hunting I came across iFrogz is having a 40% off sale. This includes all cases, but additionally Invisible Shields and even children headphones. Get them addicted early. Custom iPod Cases, Skins, Covers & iPod Accessories | Ifrogz

I know some of this was gone over earlier in this thread, but anyone got a recommendation of a case that provides slight bouncing protection, is dockable and has a removable clip? I may have to resort to going with Specks ToughSkin though a bit thinner would be preferred. This one fails on several accounts.
