ipod speakers
Everyone I know who's happy with the A2s EQ them with 'puters. I'd say 'acoustic' on the iPod is your best bet, but you know the drill with the iPods EQ. That said the A5s are a huge step up and would fit on your desk (if I'm measuring your desk correctly). Back port firing, but I've bought the A2s for a friend and swapped them for A5s, which I also have*, after hearing both side-by-side. 'Huge' is not an exaggeration. I think the A2s are great speakers for the price, but the bloat is what I heard too. * House-sitting this month and have the A5s here and not sure why I really need anything else. As you probably know the A5s have iPod support with USB charging. Anyway, the Quads are better, but without the iPod support (surprisingly useful) and cheaper price.

Good to know Dusty. Mostly just as an alternative of the Peppermint. Likely Lavender or Citrus.

Dr. Bronner's Magic All-One 18-in-1 Hemp Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap
As my experience, and every review seems limited to, the peppermint, anyone know if the pick-me-up/tingling sensation extends to the other 'flavors' (except the mild/baby, I'd guess).

Don't know those specific models, but the Lumix tends to not perform as well as similar Canon and Fujis overall in darkness/higher ISOs (800 and sometimes 400). Crisp, and saturated, but grainy. A couple of the Fujis tends to excel. The F200EXR for instance has a ISO 6400 at 6MP resolution & 12800 at 3MP resolution modes. Review here. And Grahame answered the Eye-Fi, but quick uploads from any wifi location to Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, Shutterfly, etc. is a hugh plus in my book. I agree with the Pana Lumix recommendations, though usually point to the DMC-FS series. Or DMC-LX3 if you want to increase the budget. Pick by size and zoom requirements. Only downside is they tend to get grainy at higher ISOs before Canon. On only picture quality I'd pick Canon, but p+s about more than just quality. If expecting lots of low-light scenarios likely Fuji should be added to the list. And pick up an Eye-Fi card. Like a good camera phone it's a game changer.- Post the last thing you bought!

Is there something about Ultrasones we need to know?- SACD -- Is it worth it in a headphone rig?
Speaking of interesting times, Oppo just tweeted a few minutes ago...- SACD -- Is it worth it in a headphone rig?
My experience is pretty limited on the SACD front, but after picking up a few dozen SACDs on recent Telarc and Fantasy sales (figured even if I resorted to Redbook layer they were a good deal), I bought a used Denon DVD-2900. Obviously, far from the top, but seemed respected for SACD playback (even if PCM converted), well built and mods were a possibility. As testing the layers is easy enough, I ran through most of the discs and have returned to Redbook playback and the option of a decent DAC. Not going to make overarching comments here (only tried a single player), except maybe to echo Al's comments. Unless you've found titles unavailable elsewhere or great deals on discs as the format seems to fade, the SACD copyright nightmare should be compared with high-res computer audio so close to being widely accepted. And from the answers above, it should be obvious you have more freedom with your favorite hobby - DACs. Plus since we'll all be using JH13s soon...- Ye Macce Threade
