I'd love to shoot all four Monochroms to compare, and better understand the CCD element of the first Monochrom, though wildly different other specs too. It's going to take a little time to get to know as it's so easy to blow the highlights. These were shot about two stops underexposed (used ND filter as primitive meter is away from lens), then brought up in post. That's probably not ideal, but I'll experiment. I remember B&W slide film, but never shot it. Sadly all my experience is with the Agfa Scala 200 Exposure (aka Alien Skin) sim, but it's one of my favorites.

I certainly get the big issues with both parties, but I don't understand minimizing the severity of their differences or equalizing the blame. Using your example of abortion, if one party wanted to ban abortions and the other to force abortions, it would be admirable to aim towards the center, but that's not remotely the situation. One side wants to ban the procedure in increasing severity and the other is protecting the option of choosing, and yes, keeping options right up to very late term abortions because of special cases. All the recent changes are on side. I don't deny it's become an identify issue for both sides, but I also don't know what it is like to be a woman and have body integrity rights removed after half a century. We tend to expand rights, not restrict them. Apply the same to lots of other recently discussed issues. Zero Democrats are requiring everyone to be trans. Many Republicans are trying for no one to be recognized as such. I don’t get the middle.

Here's my short review - last week I bought a second one. I'm using with the LCD-X (20 ohm) and LCD-3 (110 ohms), with different settings. This is built for IEMs up with various gain and IEM-match adjustments. Basically you try to target 12 o'clock with whatever phones you use. Do I think as a transportable rig it matches the Hugo 2 (on loan)? Not quite, the Hugo has a more relaxed, balanced sound, but at this price of $399 versus $3000, if it gets close I'm happy. I'm happy.

Putting on my most optimistic Barbie-eque take, I'll say for once the influencer hordes selected the right camera model (though strangely long after release) - small, but worth carrying with a smartphone, good looking, accurate auto-white balance with beautiful RAW starting points or JPG output. Optical and electronic viewfinder to slow down. Not chasing specs too high. I'm actually impressed they ended up on the X100 series (though again strangely only the current model). And as mentioned earlier the X100 became known by many from both sides - the TikTokers and Roger fuckin' Deakins (for digital stills). Then again (kinda)...
