  1. Streaming Jersey Shore.
  2. I was going to buy some Treks, but after trying them on at a local shop, I prefer the KSOs (and will be buying a second pair). I think the Treks are just a bit too far from the "barefoot" angle the FFs are about - sole not quite as flexible or sensitive and foot higher off the ground (because of the threads). That said, I didn't enjoy hiking on sharp rocks, etc. with the KSOs recently so definitely could see the Treks better for that use (and likely designed for).

  8. Sounds weird, but sometimes I have luck with different apps trying to read the disk. Sure there are some OS level issues (not to mention hardware ones), but depending on your settings in preferences for CD/DVD media (may want to test different actions - including turning all off), having Toast launched prior to inserting CDs sometimes loads problematic discs versus automatically having iTunes (or possibly other OS defaults) do their work. Almost like it grabs the disc before something else goes wrong.
  9. Actually, looks like the episodes are on Google Video. Again different format, but... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6074862934137494377
  10. If you love Band of Brothers you have to check out The First World War. Different war and format, but insanely good.

  12. Yeah, I've never understood the complaints about the phone either. Works as well as my previous half dozen dumb-phones. Now AT&T service depending on where you live compared to Sprint, Verizon, MetroPCS, etc. is another matter.
  13. Package arrived today (due to my company closure last week). Thanks much Fitz. Very curious to dive in tonight. Nice track #4 on Circus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeXFE2t0AXM

  15. More importantly, when did the news get so lazy it started using Yelp reviews?
  16. Damn, I thought from some of the comments in the Oppo thread, you already had. Thus the gift exchange format. Sorry, I should have asked, but if you needed another nudge. Someday, I'll make the leap.
  17. One bump as these are so good.

  23. I don't have any new news. Just like the photo.
  24. Shellylh, as someone who carries his D70 around about 1/20th of the time he did his earlier Canon G1, due to size/weight, I'm considering giving up dSLRs. Although it may be too small for you, the micro 4 thirds, especially the Pana GF1, is really interesting in my book. You may want to give a look if you haven't so far. For some reason "feeling" the ground works better on sidewalks and dirt paths over sharp rocks and handball courts. They do work pretty well when unintentionally "surfing" down a muddy hillside though. Then again maybe I just need these.
