The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.

Yeah, another attempt at a joke. Near monochrome scene until either someone pissed off another at the artist studios over by the train station, or the drugs took effect. Thankfully one car over, not mine. In other news TTArtisan not long ago released a really cheap (like $200 new, $170 used) tilt (not shift) 50mm f/1.4 FF lens in a variety of mounts. Not sure how likely I’d use for its intended purpose, but been fun this week to experiment with other ones around the house. -

Not only did I take [a few] photos, I took [a few] photos at headphone gatherings. I also got suckered into the Light.io camera. 🤕 Well, basically pulled into all the Valley origin camera companies. Stay strong Foveon! And, I guess, Apple and Google. -

Well, we did get an inkling of the something like three years of news coverage on the queen passing. But things are a little different in America where we all rule… -
Yeah, that’s fair. The twin stuff isn’t new or brave, though as always allows two approaches to each issue and a protective bond that everything else external competes against. The “women’s issues” (used uncomfortably) are the brave explorations, starting with the shown miscarriage right up front. These are overwhelmingly women’s perspectives (pro and con, at least so far and again used uncomfortably). I’m not sure the creative team is going to put a lot of time and resources into protecting men and positive feelings towards them, but do scenes of conflict with males, and generally they’re between females here, seem unfair? I don’t remember much about the Cronenberg film, and as always different strokes, and thanks for letting me know this existed. I though had the opposite response to the pilot and found it electrifying and honestly at times brave. Some of this stuff, around women’s expectations, bodies and sexuality, especially surrounding reproduction/birth, is rarely talked about, not really, which is really pretty strange, but probably also why it’s ripe for horror-kinda-ish stories, and was well executed, I thought, here in a tight opening episode. And the dialogue… She’ll like you. She likes smart women. Who doesn’t? Men and most other women. Now, considering the source, it’s pretty likely going to fly off the rails at some point, but that takes nothing away of riding that line for awhile. It may be happening already by the second episode where they throw a full deck of big pharma donor wildcards into the mix, but then again that’s all potentially interesting commentary too. I can’t wait to watch more.

Seems she publicly died October 2022, then came back. Same thing happened to Gordon in 2010. Coincidentally also the subject of this week’s #riplildicky Dave episode.

It's strange how some celebrities/artists/whatever passing affects you versus others. Just one more vid. This one by Rick Beato. Bob Dylan, Randy Newman, and Tom Waits, please eat healthy.
