  1. For those who haven’t heard Slow Horses season 5 just wrapped and season 6 has been early renewed.
  2. Mr. McMahon. Have zero interest in “sports entertainment”, but someone recommended I watch this six-part series to get a condensed view of the rise of incels, the Trump GOP takeover, and the loss of focus on truth, and gotta admit it’s pretty good through that lens.
  3. Recently came across a reference to The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer (UPN 1998). Somehow not only did this make it to production, but four episodes were aired, before being canceled.
  4. Flattened in a year https://edition.cnn.com/interactive/2024/10/world/gaza-homes-destroyed-war-one-year-dg/
  5. As ridiculous as it is to point to a Youtube video criticizing Sontage critical essays on photography...
  6. Been on an "inspired by Kris Kristofferson" kick, so back to 2016 and Sturgill Simpson's A Sailor's Guide to Earth.
  7. On that note, Slow Horses and The Old Man are really on a higher level these seasons, no? They’re practically about family. Also... https://www.threads.net/@holman/post/DAwIjz5yhpt?xmt=AQGzTaMJD1-jB7XDweQMYFcReH2kIGfEd3OhosVZM1Dj4Q
  8. I doubt he'll see this, but back in the early headphone days, especially in the Bay Area, Whitney was a regular. I know plenty remember him from those early meets. Great guy and always incredible music suggestions. After peeling off, he reshowed in my world from this Stanford Medicine article - The Puzzle Solver. With today's HC birthday reminder I looked up his web site and see he's posted a few recent videos to his YouTube channel. He has had a very tough time with severe Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS). Saying happy birthday Whitney, but also bringing those who were not aware up-to-date. https://www.whitneydafoe.com

  11. From a long time ago...
  12. Champian Fulton, Jane Monheit, and Camille Thurman doing a tribute to 30s-50s ladies of jazz, in Mtn. View, but touring the country.
  13. Fall colors. 6D mk1 this time. Much smaller show at a burger joint a couple blocks from home.
  14. Another trip around the sun remembering you.
  15. Yeah that one is funny. There are so many critics, including those who've had no issues fighting against public opinion previously, wanting to love, or at least respect, Megalopolis, but the odds of this being a misunderstood masterpiece (à la CATS - sorry/not sorry) seems so low at this point. Can't wait for the longer director's cut. My favorite, seemingly fair, reviews... Old Young Of course there's no way I'll skip seeing the thing. Bonus
  16. In anticipation of what is likely Coppola's newest disaster Megalopolis, listening to a previous disaster.
  17. Short Documentary on Lee Miller Before Lee Also a new, small collection released as a tie-in. Can vouch for.
  18. https://foldiez.com/products/foldiez™-retrosound On sale.
  19. Hope it’s a great one.
  20. Still need to do some color work, but here are a few snaps from a Lowrider event yesterday. Hassy 907x II 50c and 28p lens. Also starting to experiment with a NONS Instax Square back on a Hassy 500c, but really need to work on the exposure (the dynamic range is thin). Finally and best, met up with @robm321 as we solved the world problems over sugar.
