I'll chime in to say I've been watchless since the rise of smartphones and it wasn't until fitness trackers (Misfit in my case) that I saw a cause worth an extra device on my wrist. My interest in possibilities expand here with a real platform (though is potential at this point), while my concerns point towards the battery-life (sleep tracking, for instance, is going to be difficult). We'll see. EDIT: For those wondering about the size choice, the below instructions allow you to virtually compare on your wrist. Download Apple Store app on iPhone. Open the Apple Store app, tap the ‘Learn more’ link under the Apple Watch banner at the top, tap the ‘View Pricing’ button on the top right corner, then tap ‘Compare case sizes’ near the top center. Place phone on wrist. Looks like I'll be going 38mm.

I'm looking at the Sport Space Gray Aluminum w/Black Band (and possibly later some third party alternative). Undecided on size (probably need to try on), but playing with the ridiculously large LG G has me leaning towards the 38mm for my girlish wrists. Interestingly Apple doesn't have much info on the battery differences between the models besides "A 42mm Apple Watch typically experiences longer battery life."

Damn. R.I.P. Albert Maysles. With his brother, undeniably foundational documentarians and filmmakers. Salesman, Gimme Shelter, Grey Gardens, When We Were Kings, Iris, etc. Brave dude. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOctxi_tvG8

Afraid most my spots are up in the city (Bobo's, Hillstone, Alfred's, Ruth's, funny House of Prime Rib). Alexander's is quite good if a bit pricey. Want to check out their The Sea in Palo Alto someday. Their Alexander's Patisserie in Mtn. View too. Down near us I often end up on the Left Bank's LH Steak in Menlo Park, but that's primarily about convenience. As I still know next to nothing around here (and South in San Jose), would love to any suggestions you have?

Favorite Alexander's experience was foie gras on the last day of legal foie gras sales. Have only gone traditional so no help there. Filet was very good, though I prefer other steakhouses. Cupertino is the young, hip Alexander's, so make sure to go with a young, hip look. If you're bored afterward swing by for a drink. I'll be filling out spreadsheets.

I'm pretty sure Tidal is having some issues on their end. I have problems, especially with starting song loads on both home and company networks. Rarely have timeouts after it starts... if it does.

With Pebble Time announced last week, MWC going on this one and the Apple event next week, figured it's time to checkout the state of smartwatches (over activity trackers of which I've turned into a fan). So yesterday setup and played with a LG G watch that was given in December. Hardware certainly bulky (and out of the eight I know who also received one, none wear on a consistent basis), but it'll do to see the status of Android Wear. Will give it a week. Anyone else using an Android Wear watch daily? Grahame, you have a 360, right?

That sucks. It's happened to me also. _________________________ Better Call Saul pilot. Fun to reenter this world.

Still very nice. Check out the http://www.apple.com homepage (at least for the next couple days) for more phone camera shots.
