How long were those texts? Does going to the Apple Watch app on the iPhone and My Watch > General > Usage show anything?

I had the same issue when I heard about the battery life as I also use a Misfit for sleep tracking. With Misfit Flashes regularly selling for $35 and Misfit already delivering its first Apple Watch app, we'll see about possible future synergy and even if not, $35 to track sleep separately (while the Apple Watch is charging) doesn't seem the end of the world. Or get a Beddit.
