I'm going forward with low expectations on this product, not because I think it sucks, but because it is as I do with everything in life really (my motto taught to me by my dad when young: Don't expect much. That way, if something bad happens, you'll be ready for it. If something good happens, it'll be even more enjoyable because you weren't hoping for it in the 1st place). Hopefully I'll have my piece by the end of November the latest, that way many can audition it at Mike's meet.

I meant two-beds room. Not two bedrooms for my reservation. Anyhow, I just placed it. Anyone beside manaox want to crash in, ur more than welcome to do so. I don't know how many people fit in these rooms, but I won't be splitting costs with anyone since I was going to get a room anyway, and well, let's just say someone up above has been very generous to me during these hard economic times and would like to pay it forward, if you will. One bed to myself, the rest of you can pile up for all I care! I dont have any sleeping bags, so bring ur own. I believe Manaox has dibs on the other bed, since he contacted me 1st. Unless he rather sleep on the floor or the bathtub or at someone else's if he thinks there are cooler kids elsewhere... EDIT: BTW, I have the room for three nights. Friday, Sat, and Sunday. I will have a room at the Hyatt from Fri night thru Sunday night. I will be getting a 2-bedroom, so if anyone wants to crash in, let me know. Hopefully the meet will still be held at the same place. I haven't placed my reservation yet but will do so this week. I already have manaox staying, but if anyone else wishes to crash, let me know. Yea yea, I know I live fairly close to Mike, but I recently moved back in with mom and pop to help them pay off mortgage (and save some money myself), and it turns out there is some renovation in my room that weekend and afterwards, so I was going to stay with my older brother in Doral. But I don't want to drive from all the way down there to the meet and back every night, so screw it, I'm getting a 2-bedroom.

Mike, I have asked for Friday and Monday off (monday to rest). Anyhow, if anyone is coming in by plane on Friday, I do not mind at all rounding up the troops. I'd just need to know who is coming when (and where, MIA or Broward airport) so I can plan my round-up day. I'll also drop anyone off. The drive also includes any to and fro places such as Bro Truckers. I can fit three passengers in my car, four if three squeeze in the back.

I've been interested in the BA for some time now. Craig emailed me the following after I asked questions about the 2nd run, which should start end of of this month: Stock BA for $3500.00 will include JJ Tesla 300B, New production 6SN7, JAN 6X4 tubes, copper output transformers, Bakelite sockets with machined gold plated pins. The Chassis is 1/2" taller, the top plate and control panel are polished laser etched, no silver pins. Power supply has a meter, and adjustment knob for heater supply. I will make the amp for 307A tubes same price, 307A tubes not included, but if you send me tubes I will burn them in with your amp. Upgrade to silver secondary outputs $200.00. Upgrade to Teflon sockets $50.00.

Oh, and there is also the BelCanto Dac3 to play with, though I am not placing high hopes either.

Well, at the least, I'll put up a $1k product vs sub$100 musiland and over$150 Trends. If I hear no difference, believe me, I hate reviews, but I will post my findings here and over there. FOR SCIENCE! I will also hate myself for getting it probably and return it within the 30-day period if I am not happy.

I was a bit drunk when I bought that. We'll see what happens now.

Currawong, what converter are you currently using and what is your rig composed of? Btw everyone, since I lost out on the Ayre QB-9 auction on the 'gon, I decided to give this controversial Diverter a try. Yep. I bought one and took one for the team. As I have said before, I am not good (and dislike) reviewing units. As always, if anyone is interested in giving it a listen, go to Mike's meet (hopefully I'll have it by then). Since I have no async DAC, I decided to buy this "supposedly" good converter for the AA Prima DAC. I know many of you use DAC's to connect other transports that are not PC, but to me, that's all I use them for: pc audio. I'd also gladly loan this out to one of you (but only ONE of you, not starting a loaner program of any sort this time around). So if anyone here is up to the task of reviewing this piece of hardware, let me know and we can make arrangements for delivery post-Mike meet. I'd prefer someone who is familiar with DACs and PC rigs, of course. If this is not you, then you don't qualify. This is not intended to be a chance-for-you-to-listen-to-it type of thing, this is intended solely for deep analysis and review. If you aren't up for the task, well, this isn't for you. Only pc-intensive, DAC-craving, converter-experienced people need apply.
