Yes I qualify but you have to have a foreign passport that is valid for 6 or more months to be able to apply. So I will have to renew my passport and then go for US citizenship if I wish to.

I've looked thoroughly and it seems like in person renewal is my only option for my passport. I still am having trouble believing it as it is such a pain in the ass. I have emailed the consulate to confirm before I booked flights, etc. I'm leaning towards San Francisco as I have family there and I know some of y'all who live there too. I'll probably have a free place to crash at (my aunt's place) which is a big plus. Still not happy with this whole "In Person" renewal deal....what a bunch of bullshit

Congrats Bryan! I just found out that I can't renew my Philippine passport via mail anymore....I have to go to an actual consulate in person and the one in Miami doesn't do passports and visas. Only options are DC, San Francisco, LA or NYC. FUCK ME!!!! Road/plane trip to any one of these cities gang? I ideally need to put my renewal in around early June to avoid a period of not having a valid passport.

Thanks for the feedback Dinny; I've had the same basic observations as you (I briefly demoed it on Satuday); the GT is nicer physically and while it has that silver lining in the bezel, it didn't end up annoying me. I've been checking out HD Junkies as well - they seem to like the Panny plasmas overall.

Gang, I'm seriously in the market for a 55-inch plasma for my living room. I've been holding off for the longest time but I'm really fed up with having to move my couch forward everytime I want to play Xbox 360/PS3 since I only have a 37-inch set right now. Any opinions here on the Panasonic GT30? I was waiting for the VT30 to come out but now that it has, I'm having second thoughts at it is around $1K more than the GT30. I figure I can either save the extra $ or spend it on a receiver and a wall mount. Also, I recall someone getting a ST30 here a few weeks ago - was that you Dinny? Thoughts? Thanks!
