  1. Happy Birthday Stretch!
  2. Happy Birthday Deepak!
  3. Congrat Dan!
  4. Glad to help, I myself might use that site soon.
  5. Not really. I pretty much told them I've taken on more responsibilities and expanded my skillset vastly over the past few years so much so that I think I deserve a promotion. I've been with the company 5 years with no more than routine cost of living adjustment raises so I told them I was not doing my due diligence I owed myself if I didn't ask for a raise. Thankfully my boss agreed
  6. Thanks gang! To clarify, my boss completely supports my promotion but still has to go to HR to apply for it. It being approved depends on head count, budget, etc. This company is very good at employee-related stuff like this so I'm cautiously confident in my chances.
  7. Absolutely Al, I'll even buy you some cocktails!
  8. Asked my boss for a promotion and raise today and she fully approves. She's getting back to me about it after she kicks off the process with HR. I've been putting off asking for months but I'm glad I did. With any luck I'll get my raise by the start of next year. Fingers crossed!
  9. Bryan, eBay Instant Sale (which works similar to Gazelle) will give you $110 for a 3GS, even without a charger. http://instantsale.ebay.com/offer/apple-iphone-3gs-16gb/22303/
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. It was nice seeing everyone and a big thanks to Mike (now know as Dances on Pedals) and JP for being great riding partners. I'm still a little beat up from the longest ride I've ever done but it was a really good experience. We're planning on doing the full century next year, training starts soon
  12. Double post
  13. Sitting at the airport bar waiting for my flight.....
  14. Mike, you can't be old and be the fastest at the same time you know.......
  15. FTFY
  16. 9pm lights out is too early anyway, I'm sure we can stretch it out!
  17. OMG finally got my bike to fit, I just had to remove the front brake caliper. What a relief!
  18. I wish I could do so Nate but it's either I'll have to disconnect 3 cables - Rear Brake, rear derailleur, front derailleur then fish them out the internal tunnel (which I have no idea how to do) or unwrap my bars and disconnect all the cables from both levers. That might be the better option but would mean re-taping in NYC then back in Florida. I think I'll gonna have a recable today with enough slack to position the handlebar inside the case. If the long cables make a lot of smacking/rubbing noises (which is why I had my stock cables shortened in the first place), I'll just have to have them shortened again when I get back. It can be fun being short at times
  19. I might just have to do that JP. 2nd option is to go to the Trek store and try their size 50. If I can fit into that then I'll just rent one. Judging from the geometry charts, it is about 1/2 size too big but we'll see. I'm pretty pissed right now there's a chance I won't have a ride Sunday. Fucking bummer
  20. Fuck, I did a test run to fit my bike in the Thule case and it looks like I can't fit it in because of the very short shifter cables. I'm able to take everything apart but I can't position the separated handlebars in such a way that I can make it fit. Fuck me!
  21. Congrats Shelly!
  22. I'm in for a 20 miler on Saturday morning Mike.
  23. Yeah I think you're right. At least you don't have to spoon with JP anymore......not unless you we're looking forward to that
  24. Good deal Al! Looking forward to seeing you soon! Mike, looks like we'll each have a bed in my room and we don't have to worry about an air mattress.
  25. Yes, we absolutely need a box put together! Booked my flights for this trip! Colin you better make this ride too!
