  1. I'm looking to replace my wired iPhone headset with a Bluetooth headset......I work remotely so I'm on calls a couple hours a day on average so comfort and call quality (including sufficient volume) are my top priorities. Not really going to use this much outside so looks aren't too important but I don't want it to look ridiculously geeky either. Trying to keep it under $60 but willing to go over if need be. I've looked online at several models and it seems like there is always someone who has a complaint about comfort or audio quality and I'm not sure which ones are just comments from nagging, never-happy consumers
  2. Thanks for the generous donations gang! The HC family truly rocks! Mike, you're more than welcome to join me! Same thing for JP and Vicki and anyone else interested.
  3. So I signed up for the 2013 Tour de Cure in Orlando on March 17, 2013 and joined my local shop's team - Winter Park Cycles. Most of you guys know I love cycling and I'm a sucker for these rides/bike fests. More importantly, the Tour de Cure is a ride that benefits the American Diabetes Association. This cause is near and dear to my heart as my cousin and close friend, Angelo is a Type 1 Diabetic and I am riding for him. We grew up together and we are very close even though he's back home in the Philippines and I'm here in the USA. Anyway, I am posting here to shamelessly ask for donations. No amount is too small and every dollar matters Please click on this link for my personal Tour de Cure page. Raffy's Personal Page Thanks in advance to the HC family for your support!
  4. Happy Birthday John!
  5. Did the Tour de Cure group ride today for 34 miles. It was a nice ride that started off gentle and got harder as the ride progressed. Hung around up front and did a decent pull with the group leader (we were doing double pacelines) so overall it was a good ride. I wish my legs felt better after only 35 miles, missing 3 weeks out a real dent on my conditioning.
  6. Doing a training ride at my local shop for the Tour de Cure tomorrow at 7:30am. That is, if I wake up early enough.
  7. Sorry for your loss, Dusty.
  8. x3 Dusty...I've been there before and it truly hurts
  9. Checking in at the Manila airport for the start of my journey home to Florida. I'm excited to be coming home but still about 27 hours to go before I get there.
  10. Great to hear you finally found a saddle you like, JP. I really like my Arione so far, I haven't found anything to complain about it and it seems to disappear a few miles into the ride which I guess is a good thing. However, I did find out that the comfort was really dependent on getting the tilt angle correct.
  11. What saddle did you finally settle on JP?
  12. Great to hear Vicki, good luck with your first time out since the ankle injury and take care! Have a great ride too John, looking forward to riding again with you guys soon! Can't wait for Tuesday to come for my first ride post vacation.
  13. Congrat Jacob!
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. Happy Birthday Jacob!
  16. BTW, just found out the "Jump to Page" function doesn't work. When I put in any page number, it always goes back to the first page.
  17. By then we can divide you in ounce bags and smoke some Jacob goodness
  18. JP, item 4 should not be too hard after accomplishing item 1. As for item 6, I think you already got that covered.
  19. 1. Get below 140 from 157. 2. Log 3,000 miles 3.Spend time on trainer when the weather is shitty or if lack of daylight prevents me from riding. 4. Average 20+ on solo rides for at least 20 miles. 5. Do a least 1 full century 6. Find more hills to ride.....I've learned to like hills but never really dedicated the effort to look for hilly rides. 7. Take longer and harder pulls 8. Join the local shop ride 9. Hydrate better and take more electrolytes to prevent rampant cramping
  20. Happy birthday to both of you!
  21. Happy Birthday Ken!
  22. Nice bike! Congrat!
  23. Nice bike! Congrat!
