Jeff, I might be interested in the raceway. Let me know how much you want for it. Only worry I have is if will clear the stock spoiler on a 2006 Civic Si.

So the New York City Century is on September 8 this year. So far, Mike B., JP Numbers and I plan to attend......anyone else interested in riding and/or hanging out and drinking insane amounts of beer that weekend?
-
Nice shot CJ. Steady hands considering you shot it at .5 sec handheld.
-
Mike 4.5 cms is a LOT. You'll end up with a 65 or 70 mm stem which in my opinion is not ideal.
-
Just upgraded to a carbon bar, a Deda Campione, used but in really nice condition from Paceline. More drop and slightly more reach. I was looking for the extra drop and classic bend look but I'm just a tiny bit worried about the extra 8mm reach. Some days I can see myself easily handling the extra reach, some days not.

Again, I cannot agree more as far as deserving what he gets. I don't care if he had Daddy or Mommy issues, raised in a radical household or was just outright molested and assfucked two-a-days as a kid. He deserves what is coming and I hope it is more brutal than not. They've killed 4 people and negatively affected the lives of countless others. I really cannot see what upside, forgiveness and redemption he is possibly entitled to.

Fully agreed. But right now just in my opinion that is his sole purpose in this world - for information in this despicable, disgusting act of terrorism. If he gets killed after giving up some intel, not a single cell in my body will feel bad for him. Sorry I know it is harsh and inhumame but it is the truth. Don't care if he's "only" 19 or if his cuntbag older brother "influenced" him.

Police are trying to get this fuckface to surrender? Someone should just execute him on the spot justified or not.

Happy Birthday Jeffy!

Sorry about your loss, Dan. My condolences.

Congrat Shelly!

Looks like an awesome climb!

Btw, sorry about your niece's crash, Ken. Glad that there's no concussion or broken bones but that's still gotta suck.
-
Nice ride Nate, looks like you're quickly inching back to your usual beast shape!

Happy Birthday Fellas!

Brent, glad to hear you're finally getting some pain relief! Chris, Fight Club is the first Sufferfest video I bought. It is a complete ass whooping! Those short, sharp attacks they ask you to do are totally draining and same thing for the 3 minute climb for each segment. I think I've only finished it 2-3 times. I use my other video, There Is No Try more as it's easier and more fun (except for the 2 x 4 minute TT segment). The 15 and 30 second intervals are awesome as well as the low cadence climb portion.

My stem is already slammed as I bought a relaxed geometry bike (Specialized Roubaix). I love the bike but I wish the front end wasn't so tall, especially since my body dimensions require short headtubes (which I only found out after I got a real fitting). In any case, my position on the drops is ideal now and I just want a tad bit more drop on the drops.
-
You're right Chris, the Highway 1 bars are very similar to what I have right now. I'm currently runnign 75 reach/125 drop bars and I'd like to stay close to the same reach while increasing the drop to 135-140. Seems like the Deda Newton Shallows are the only bars in this category. The deeper drop "belgian" bars have too much reach for me; I can probably handle the drop but not the reach on those.
-
Thanks. Looking at your picture, I think I can work with that bar to hood transition. Rode 24 miles today with pretty stiff winds. It was around 80 degrees and sunny today so I had to double up my electrolytes to keep up with the heat. I had salt crud all over my gear, particularly my helmet. Otherwise I'm really happy to be putting in the miles early in the "season". I feel so much more in cycling shape today than last month when I was struggling to find time to ride.
-
Thanks, looks like if you mount the levers and point the bar lower, the better the transition and the more reachable the brake levers are from the drops. Am I understanding that correctly?
-
Great to see your Kirk getting close to being reality, Vicki! Pigmode, I saw elsewhere that you posted about the Deda Newton Shallow bar and that you like it. I'm considering trying those and moving from the Spesh Short and Shallow I have right now (similar to a Deda Zero). I like my current bar but I want a little more drop in the drops and I really dig the Newton Shallow shape. Question is: When mounting Shimano levers to the Newton Shallow, will I get a little dip from the top of bar to the hoods? If so, it is even that big of a deal having that dip? I like resting my forearms flat on area where the hood and bar meet.

Happy Birthday Doug!

I'm almost sure you're correct, Nate. If Dan's frame has an English threaded BB, the SRAM crank will work on it but only with the SRAM GXP/English threaded BB, not with the current Shimano one he's using.

Nice ride Vicki and Brent! Rode some hills in Clermont today. Around 928 feet of elevation gain in 12.88 miles (that's only half the trail). Used up all my energy and all the gears in my compact. Also just realized I have 262 miles for March and may add more tomorrow
