  1. Indeed, Jens is the the motherfucking man! When I get to his age and if I have the same edge and swagger, I'll be proud of myself. Apparently, that quote was from last year's Tour of California after winning from a breakaway.
  2. I love how some people on Paceline are getting bent out of shape over a decal on Jen Voight's new custom Trek saying "I am motherfucking Jens Voight". Although crude, I don't understand why people get their panties in a wad over shit like this. Perhaps, I'm just politically incorrect (but not ashamed of it). Makes me want to get a custom bike with a decal say "Blow me" (with a floor pump beside it) or my signature saying "Eat a dick!" just to post it on Paceline. Makes me appreciate how awesome this place is with none of this bullshit censorship and fake prudeness Bike Pics: http://www.bikerumor.com/2013/08/13/twitter-special-jens-voigt-bike-check/
  3. That's actually good Mike, not having followed football for some time will prevent you from making stupid homer picks
  4. I would love to see Katy Perry kiss a girl and yes, I would like it
  5. Cool article on Kellen Winslow (NFL TE) and cycling: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/kellen-winslow-whose-motorcycle-wreck-almost-cost-him-135122952.html
  6. I agree. I don't know what I was thinking - was referring more to something like a catcoon, coyote or any other dangerous animal like that. Of course, what are the chances of any of those animals breaking into a 3rd floor apartment?
  7. Jeez Nate, I hope that's the last of the bats in your home! If I ever woke up in the middle of the night to a non-domesticated animal in my apartment, my 9mm is coming out of my nightstand.
  8. Happy Birthday Tyll!

    RIP George Duke

  11. Good point Brent. The Romin seems to be very well liked by a lot of people. I test rode a Venge earlier this year with a Romin on it and I liked it better than the Toupe that came stock with my Roubaix. And you can always try my favorite, Arione
  12. Yay Vicki! Just my personal opinion, nothing wrong with going with a clunky, heavy saddle that works. My only issue is that it's leather and I wouldn't wanna mess with maintaining a leather saddle. You've done it before so that aspect might be different for you. As far as different saddle is concerned, you may want to try a Fizik Kurve Bull. It's an Aliante (which I know kinda works for you) but has a hammock/suspension design which I believe is the same case for the Brooks. The hammock design may eliminate the rubbing/friction issue you had with the normal Aliante. Also, if you still have the Aliante, try messing around with the tilt and maybe use more chamois cream? (I'm serious on that one, I've under applied chamois cream before and it made my otherwise comfortable saddle a little bit miserable).
  13. Happy Birthday Tom!

  20. I checked that out too. Around 400 bucks a year for my bike.
  21. Chris, I think those are clinchers so the difference is a little less.....I think around 250 grams. That's still a substantial difference though.
  22. The R5 looks great Jeff! Carbon fiber FTW!
  23. Nice ride Nate! Started my ride around 11:30 this morning and it was hot as balls. After a few miles though, the heat stops bothering me. I guess I've heat-acclimated myself. I was aiming for 2 24-mile loops but my legs started to threaten a lockout around mile 34 so I decided to head back to my car. Overall it was a really good ride for me as I was strong all the way up to the point my legs told me to fuck off.
  24. x3 on what Gene said!
