  1. Began my journey eastward today, got to El Paso and about to stop for the night.
  2. IMHO DC's close enough to Baltimore to count as "close" Thanks a lot for the suggestions, though the fun weather on the east coast looks like it'll make my last portion of my trip an adventure in snow.
  3. So after some time looking for a job I've been accepted for a position in MD that matches what I'm looking for. I have a car and all my belongings are here in CA so I'll be driving across the country to my new location with my essentials. I'll be shipping the nonessentials since it'll be easy to do so as they're still packed in moving boxes from my separation. My father will be travelling with me to help split the driving duties. As I haven't done a cross-country drive before, I'd like some input on the planned route which is this so far: Los Angeles, CA to Baltimore, MD - Google Maps I've mostly kept to the I-40 as I heard it's the better route to take, though I'm certainly open to suggestions otherwise. I've bought snow chains and prepared a simple emergency pack to bring along. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your help
  4. Two pelican cases to ship computer gear to my new place in MD.
  5. Accepted a job offer on the other coast. Looks like I get to rejoin the ranks of the employed soon
  6. Thanks, got a good chuckle out of that
  7. To be honest I don't have too much stuff, the bulkiest part would be my test lab and computers. I recently got out of the military so most of my stuff such as clothes are still in their moving boxes, though I have no furniture to speak of that's my own. Hopefully, that will make moving a simpler affair. The job offer is decent, with the most attractive parts being that they'll help pay for education and certs along with the fact that they're going to transfer my security clearance over. I'm a Windows Sysadmin that's hoping to get my civilian career started and the offer looks like a good way to do that and finish off my bachelor's. On topic post: I drove back down to Southern California from Sacramento today, nice and sunny on the way down as opposed to the rain and snow on the way up.
  8. Received a job offer for a position in Maryland. Anyone have tips on a cross-country move? Aimless1: that's a difficult decision to make
  9. I had to administer a very finicky citrix server for a short time at work. I can totally relate to the love/hate deal That being said it's wonderful to hear they'll be matching!
  10. You have officially piqued my interest.
  11. That's an interesting spot for a center channel speaker...
  12. Yup, only $789 for the Standard Plus version and $879 for the Pro version!
  13. Perhaps you were lucky that the out of spec cryo cable managed to match the tonal quality and depth of your properly spec'd pico usb cable? While googling the cryo usb cable I came across this picture:

Wow that's terrible. I live close enough to UE to drive over to them, so if I can help with a RMA or anything in any way let me know.

That's my issue. My canals are a bit on the small side, to the point where the stock tip just barely fits, but the small tip doesn't seal properly. The comply tip that it comes with (which I think is a medium) seals great but it seems to be slightly larger than perfect, so I'm hoping the small comply will fit just right

Mine arrived today though they were originally estimated to arrive tomorrow. I do like them quite a bit, though I'm not sure about the fit, might have to pick up an assorted pack of complys to give them a try.
