  1. That's a good point, I guess it would depend on the length of the run and how much power is going to be required as Nate said earlier.
  2. Indeed, that's what I meant. Not sure how I managed to type that the first time; I blame my tiredness.
  3. Yea, they'll work as long as you make sure a strand or two accidentally get put into the other set I like the scotch tape.
  4. Was lucky to get one from a raffle, it plays virtually everything though the UI leaves a bit to be desired.
  5. My brain blew up after reading that part o.O
  6. Went to a Muse concert in Baltimore; it was very good.
  7. First day orientation at my new job. It's definitely different from working in the military!
  8. Onkyo PR-SC5507. Ironically enough I won't have a balanced speaker amp, so I might just use my headphone amp with it in the meantime...
  9. There used to be a color selection box between the button and quantity box, my guess is that they're sold out but it's not showing as such.

Which mod path are you going to take? I'm going to try the version one with the cap/resistor swap, plug the top vent, and add some damping. surprising how much difference plugging a single port makes; old t-shirt mod time?

Well the choice was made for me because only cherry was available; good thing that it's got the same xover as the one John checked out! For the weight I'm amazed it's free shipping.

Thanks for the post colin, I was skimming over John's mods to the crossover and missed the link where he got them from. Definitely picking up a set for the HT at that price shipped! Just not sure what color I want
  13. What car did you get?
  14. Audioengine A5's; they arrived today and they're sounding pretty good

  17. There's a meet in March? I'd be up for it as long as it isn't during work hours
  18. Arrived in Maryland and settled in at my friend's place.Nice to not be driving for a change
  19. Thanks, definitely taking it easy and swapping driving with my dad regularly. Lack of traffic is nice, though I hear I should expect some around San Antonio.
  20. Began my journey eastward today, got to El Paso and about to stop for the night.
  21. IMHO DC's close enough to Baltimore to count as "close" Thanks a lot for the suggestions, though the fun weather on the east coast looks like it'll make my last portion of my trip an adventure in snow.
  22. So after some time looking for a job I've been accepted for a position in MD that matches what I'm looking for. I have a car and all my belongings are here in CA so I'll be driving across the country to my new location with my essentials. I'll be shipping the nonessentials since it'll be easy to do so as they're still packed in moving boxes from my separation. My father will be travelling with me to help split the driving duties. As I haven't done a cross-country drive before, I'd like some input on the planned route which is this so far: Los Angeles, CA to Baltimore, MD - Google Maps I've mostly kept to the I-40 as I heard it's the better route to take, though I'm certainly open to suggestions otherwise. I've bought snow chains and prepared a simple emergency pack to bring along. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your help
  23. Two pelican cases to ship computer gear to my new place in MD.
