  1. I'm also definitely up for another Lake House ride
  2. My garmin recorded 1400ft or so when we last rode it, if that counts for anything.
  3. I would, but I promised a friend I'd ride a metric with them if my legs were up for it. Some other day!
  4. Looks like a fun ride and the weather should be good! Someday I'd like to do that lakehouse loop just to see how much I've improved I did a 50miler today and might do a metric tomorrow, depending on how my legs feel.
  5. Ah, so it's shorter! Classics Ed has a 14.3 head tube while the H1 Madone has a 16.
  6. The Classics Edition is significantly more aggressive than the standard Domane fit. IIRC, the head tube on the Classics' is almost shorter than the H1 Madone. I'm not sure the Madone is that much more aero than the new one, the primary difference is the rear brake location.
  7. I'm not looking to buy one, but thanks for the heads up I don't think the Domane has different fit options, but when I tried the stock Domane it was far too relaxed for me. It's one of the reasons why I ended up going with the Classics Edition... My guess is that it'll eventually take over the Madone line, there just too much overlap between the new lineup and the Madone lineup.
  8. Wow, didn't realize the lowest models were still carbon. Nice touch that they still call it an ultralight frame: "Ultralight 300 Series OCLV Carbon, ride-tuned performance tube optimization, E2, BB86.5, 3S chain keeper, DuoTrap compatible"
  9. Those Tune weight weenie wheels are probably worth 3-4k alone...
  10. Jeeze, I thought for sure they would've finished the Geek Out orders given how ridiculously long they worked on that stupid survey. Agreed with the Pulse's, pretty sure they haven't started delivery on those. I'm quite glad I managed to get my refund, even if that took a fair amount of hassle to get processed.
  11. So they first launched the Wave and then now they're launching the Source...all before completing delivery of all pre-ordered Pulses. They also seemed to completely fudged the processing of their orders, requiring a significant amount of time to "develop" a survey system so they can figure out who ordered what. Quite the snafu they have going on.
  12. I'll be riding a metric on sat, hope you guys have fun at Schaeffer!
  13. Grats Haj! Today I got trained on how to use a nice laser engraver. I think I'll have some fun with it in the future The table is 40"x28" and specs say it can hold up to 200lbs, though I'm not sure what you'd want to engrave that weighs that much...
  14. 15. Trek Domane It was a blast! Funny thing was that if you asked people what they thought of it, the triathletes hated it and the riders with mtb experience loved it.
  16. Image of the web page (kinda long, so not embedded) http://i.imgur.com/YmoJJuX.png Garmin Connect link: http://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/526489135 Really fun ride for the most part, other than not being geared for the rain. Ironically I had a rain shell at the beginning, but dropped it off at aid station 2 because it had warmed up and felt good enough that I figured I could ride in the wet without issue. I figured wrong. Short clip of the delightful rain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra2cOyI078g Gravel road vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-hPisiyw2Y Riding on gravel is noisy...so turn down your volume for that video. It's also a bit long (13min) since it's the full uncut footage, the fun descent lasts till the 4min mark or so, after that it's a lot of side to side camera action from the angling of the bike to slog up the long climb. And a pic of me going up one of the hills
  17. Started dumping rain on a 7 mile long descent, so I bailed on the ride when I reached the rest stop. Never thought I'd have to worry about cold shivers on an event in June, go figure. Still got 85 miles and 10317ft of elevation change in.
  18. Getting ready to head on out later today for tomorrow's Diabolical Double...or possibly the Savage Century if my legs can't handle it. It's going to be a fun-filled day of climbing!
  19. It was a trail over in Delaware, which is why I wasn't sure, but it's confirmed that it's cancelled. When and where is everyone meeting tomorrow?
  20. Assuming my mtb ride gets rained out I can make it to the Sat ride
  21. Yeah, and it's doubtful it'll dry up in time. Road ride instead?
  22. I'm bringing a compact/11-32 for the Diabolical Double, so you're not going to hear anything from me regarding your compact setup
  23. Civil War Century registration is open and this year's 102mi ride supposedly has about 10,816 feet of climbing due to some rerouting this year.
  24. I'm busy Saturday but if the Sunday road ride happens I should be able to make that
  25. The main problem being that glass alone costs a whole lot more than asphalt and on top of that just regular wear and tear from cars will wreck the efficiency of the panels (assuming they don't completely die). There's simply a lot of other places you can place solar panels which would be much more appropriate than the road.
