When I pulled my tubes out to get ready to put the new led's in I noticed that one of the tube pins decided to stay in the socket Any 6J6 tube should work, right? Nothing special to look for when buying a replacement?

Toroid should be a simple matter of calling up SumR and ordering the correct one, right? About the only thing that might be nice would be a case group buy, but even that's not a big deal since the size isn't excessive.
The other drivers don't see your regardless of the color, it was bright and clear the other day and I almost got merged into by another car. But then my car is black, perhaps I need to get it painted neon yellow.

I finally got around to setting up my TV's netflix app yesterday. Now I get to choose between the game consoles and the tv for netflix, woot!
Any particular reason you were avoiding putting any holes into the bottom of the case? I drilled holes in the pcb directly underneath the transformer and planned on drilling a few holes in the bottom of the case under the transformer to provide vertical airflow, with side vents as exhaust.
The latest and greatest slim version with the smaller die and better cooling system should be fine. I'm planning on picking one up eventually....maybe even the Kinect as well!
I think if you had just sent it in to MS you would've gotten a newer version without the issues The original 360 put out a lot of heat and had issues, the later versions are much better and cooler running overall.
