  1. Ridiculous if true, but who knows if it is....it's just a pastebin posting.
  2. Cyclists actually use that term?
  3. Considering you're a MOT over on Head-Fi, the least you could've done was posted that you happen to sell these headphones let alone read the welcome message before posting.
  4. You can count me in too as a consumer that doesn't know any better
  5. While it's true that the gamer demographic is quite vocal online, I have to wonder how much effect it'll actually have on sales. For every gamer that's proudly proclaiming they're boycotting the Xbox One, how many normal consumers are going to end up buying the Xbox One simply because they don't know any better? Brings to mind the fairly recent Battlefield boycotting movement due to lack of dedicated servers. That being said, I agree that the $100 difference will probably have a bigger impact on sales.

  7. New version of OSX uses windows file sharing by default I'm kinda surprised, didn't expect Apple to go so far as to adopt SMB2 as the default protocol.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAZkzV41sCc The humpback whale shows up at 3:20
  9. I understand they're useful in some cases, but I have no clue why they're pushing so hard to implement them.
  10. I'm not particularly an Apple fanboy by any means, but when Apple puts out a Haswell based MBP, I'm going to be quite tempted indeed. Intel's claims about significant battery savings seems to be true.
  11. I was trying to remember where I had read about Lamizator before, but I found it. He was the one that did the wonky buffalo sabre32 dac this way:

  13. Ouch CJ, hope you feel better soon!
  14. When I read the title of the thread, I read it in Jeremy Clarkson's voice. That was far more entertaining than the actual post.

  17. I thought that's how you get proper "liquid" sound out of an amp?
  18. Yeah, I totally got what they were shooting for and was supremely happy to hear them do that. I wasn't trying to make fun of them, I was honestly surprised they weren't going to tell me to buy a new one. I know plenty of other companies that would've done that.
  19. Gotta love Logitech's awesome customer service: Me: "So I was an idiot and spilled a drink over my keyboard and now a few of my keys no longer work, can I possibly get a discount for a replacement keyboard or something?" CSR: "So you are saying your some of your keys no longer work, is that correct? Let's see if you've done some initial trouble shooting steps, like pressing the keys harder and plugging it into a different machine. Still doesn't work? It sounds like you may have malfunctioning keys. Let's get your product info and a replacement keyboard sent out to you..."

  21. I saw a recommendation by someone for one of his headphones on a computer forum, so I guess he's still being recommended by folks.
  22. The process of making Yosegi veneer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hjhTbePvyXc
  23. Thanks for the well wishes all. I had a nice relaxing birthday
  24. I guess we'll see how it goes on release date. I know enthusiast sites already have final or near-final samples of motherboards and cpus for review and it's fairly plausible that there will be reviews out after the NDA lifts. On the flip side I haven't heard any rumblings of portable devices other than Intel's own demo unit a while back.
  25. The desktop version of Haswell has an increase in performance over Ivy Bridge while using less power, that's enough to perk the interest of enthusiasts since less power draw means less heat. On the flip side the Ivy Bridge packaging method isn't particularly great for overclocking and it's said that they used the same system in Haswell.
