  8. I believe the Holy Trinity is actually 35L, 85L, and 135L. The Canon 135L truly is a wonderful lens that's bitingly sharp with super bokeh. I don't believe the Nikon 135mm version is as precious.
  9. One usually only receives such sweet CPS service for the paid membership, and I only have the free Silver CPS membership; however, I was able to convince the CPS service rep on the phone to pay shipping both ways for the non-obligatory 5D III "light-leak fix" along with sensor/camera cleaning. I also asked them to check out the Ai Servo AF system while it was there, which they promptly "adjusted" to factory specs and had at my doorsteps in like 3 days
  10. Looks like Nikon finally admitted to the D600 sensor dust/oil spot issue. Better late than never.. http://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/18180

  12. I like bird photography, but not $18,000 worth Wow, and I thought Canon lens prices were going insane..
  13. So, who's getting the new Leica M 240?

  15. A lot of the recent Fuji X-E1 buyers are a bit miffed that Fuji chose to release the X-E1 with the older sensor a few months before the new generation of bodies with the new sensors. I suspect the older X-Pro 1 will get the sensor update before the more recent X-E1. Anyways, not my dog..
  16. The new Fuji X100s looks very interesting! http://www.dpreview.com/previews/fujifilm-x100s
  17. Just the usual amount of unsharp mask I apply to most RAW's, which is less sharpening than what camera body's jpeg engine applies. The new Canon 2x TC Mk III is a big improvement over Mk II in terms of sharpness, and one should shoot stopped down with TC's. My photo was shot at f/8.

  20. EOSD1426 by drjlo1, on Flickr The 13.3" Vaio Ultrabook certainly looks great and is very portable (compared to the 15.6" Asus), which is why I bought it. But after messing around with Windows 8, I just could NOT stand it. Bypassing Win 8 by installing "Skip Metro Suite" and "Classic Shell" is highly recommended.

  23. Did something change on Head-Case? I can no longer post photos from Flickr using BB code? I get the message: You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community. *Edit* Hmm, now we have to push the top left button for "BB code mode" before pasting BB codes, I guess. FYI.
  24. Nice... That 18-55 looks huge compared the body though. Waiting to see if Fuji will bundle the X-E1 with the 35mm f/1.4..
