That is simply too awesome! I especially like the pseudo-separate power supplies for left and right, and a dedicated PS for the gain stage.

Why? It takes 2 months to get an unusual piece of gear that you want, ans that's just how it is. People wait a year for some luxury cars, people reserve tables months in advance at good restaurants, people do lots of things that just take time. You could get a Honda Accord, A seat at a nice diner, or whatever else right now if all you want is whatever you can get right now. There is nothing really wrong with those they are just not exactly what you want... so you gotta wait. I for one hate waiting for head-fi to come back online, but its worth the wait so people will have somewhere to complain about a rare thing not being instantly available.

Vicky gave me her HF2 to "keep an eye on" at last years can-jam. I tried them out. Funny story: I actually played them a little bit in the "DIY group rig" (Nebby's DAC, my amp, NoNoNoNoNoNo's amp) and was quite pleased. When it came time to return the headphones I put my headphones in her headphone box and gave them back. It took a while for me to figure it out. good times, good times.

Ask and you shal receive. The Least-Espressivo. It isnt an amp, It dosnt have tubes or transistors, and it runs headphones well. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

yes. I find that Phono stages typically have the best synergy with vinyl. Once when I was but a young fool I attempted to run my Stax O2/717 directly off of a MM cartridge. OOH the horror. Fist it took all the volume knob to eek out any sound! Secondly, the highs were a good 20db higher than the mids, and the lows a good 20 db lower! can you immagine? Tilted up? Indeed.
