I'll be downtown. I'd like to go to Avec but that could be a long wait. I'll think about Frontera Grill. I'm not much of a pizza person (even authentic italian). Sunshine Cafe looks awesome.

I'm headed to Chicago next week and I'm looking for a few places to eat. I won't be driving so they'll have to be accessible by train/cab. I'm looking for somewhere for a nice Saturday lunch date. Around $100 for 2 without alcohol should be fine. I was thinking the RL restaurant (which I heard was good from a friend) and The Purple Pig. I'd have loved to gone to the Girl and the Goat but it's not open for lunch. Any suggestions? I'm also looking for a few places for casual dinner with friends. Under $30 per person. Cafe Iberico sounded intriguing. Sushi Wabi or Coast Sushi Bar. Longman and Eagle but I doubt we could find a seat. de Cero sounds interesting.

I found it interesting that wiki says the INTJ is one of the rarest personality types (1-4%) when all of my close friends and clearly most of the people here are INTJ.

So recently, a friend of mine sent an MBTI test my way and I found out my type. Then I asked my close friends and realized that every single one (5/5) are the same type. I was wondering if we have the same bias in this forum. If I were to guess, I'd say it wouldn't be as predominant but there would still be a skew towards the same type. Please don't read up on the test before you take it because I think it would skew your results. Here's the test. http://www.humanmetr...win/jtypes2.asp I am I would expect most people to be

Guys, I know it's annoying to change, but I'd highly recommend Mumble over Ventrilo. Far better voice quality and much lower latency.

Have a happy belated birthday!

I was honestly impressed. I thought it far worse by what everyone has been saying but I guess he's not focusing super close. -

If the X Pro-1 optical viewfinder is anything like the x100's. It won't be extremely useful. Especially at long focal lengths. When I shot with the x100, i pretty much stuck with EVF 90% of the time. -

Anyone interested in the OM-D? It seems nice but M43 has its limitations. Mostly DOF and low light capability. Although since it's olympus, I'm sure AF will be extremely quick. Much quicker than the X-pro1 -

Sensor size is the cause of DOF difference. Edit: Oh, someone already said it. -

Just about everything Nikon does is opposite of Canon. I even remember in the AI-s days, Nikon's aperture catch was spring loaded so that the releasing it closed down the aperture (which makes more sense) while Canon was the opposite. And of course, you'll have a hell of a time getting used to the EV dial/indicator. One thing I'd love to know though is, how is Canon 7d AF (current mainstream generation) vs. Nikon's AF? -

Expansys USA had the preorder for $1384.99 (35mm kit) but took it down. The UK site is still up and listed at £1,079.99 so the pricing is probably right. edit: Also, if you're considering spending $3500, have you thought about the M8? -

Pentax K-5 is a heck of a lot bigger than the OM-1, no? So you don't really have another choice. -

Well.. there's some uncertainty regarding the pricing. There are some talks of $1700 kit and some of $1700 body only. The former is high but acceptable but the latter is just outrageous. I'd rather get the 5dII.
