ecp audio is moving! Rather than packing up all of our amps, putting them in storage for the summer, then treking them across the country, we are selling them at a discount. All prices include shipping to the CONUS unless indicated. Everything is assembled and can ship within a few days except for the L-2 prototypes which will need a couple of extra days to get them ready. All L-2's are 30% off. L-2's with Lundahl amorphous core input transformers and Electra-Print either nickel, or nickel/steel pinstripe output transformers are $2595.00 $1816.50. L-2's with nickel input transformers and nickel output transformers $2495.00 $1746.50. L-2 prototypes (from CanJam Chicago.) These are basically the same as the production version except for the brushing on the metal was done by hand and they are not anodized, and the "ecp" badges are not recessed. Pics on request. With Lundahl input transformers and Electra-Print nickel output transformers -- $1400. With Cinemag input transformers, Electra-Print nickel trimmed M6 output transformers, and Dynamicap parafeed capacitors -- $1200. DSHA-1's are 20% off, $1995 $1596.00 or get a DSHA-1 with the upgrade power supply for $2345 $1850.

Odd Problem With MS Word
dsavitsk replied to Augsburger's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
I don't mean this to rub salt into anything, but going forward you might want to install something like Spideroak that does real time automatic backup to the cloud. These things make a backup every time you save the file, and they keep all historical versions even if you delete the file. Good luck. -
It can. Recstar's DSHA-0 (which was an experimental one-off) is the same exact circuit, but has 3x XLR input, 2x RCA inputs, and a switch to change between headphone outputs and preamp outputs. On the standard build you'd have to run a wire from the output jack on the front which may not be ideal. We were putting a new front panel on it the other day, so here's what the inside looks like ...

I'll add my $0.02 which is that when I was looking for small speakers for a small room, I listened to a lot of different ones (not powered, so a little different market) from $300 to $2K, and I bought Dynaudios (for which I paid ~$500 used). Nothing else was even in the same ball park to me. Of course I like HD800's more than I like 007's or 009's, so take my opinion as you will

I have one I got from woot for ~$25. I works well enough that I wouldn't spend any more on one unless something critical depended on it. -
I had been hoping to attend, but it appears that it won't happen. I will plan to send a Tomb a box of goodies, though.

Mogami is nice because it does not shrink when soldered.

This is all really depressing. She was, at one point, really great. Arkansas Traveler, ignoring the questionable politics, is an amazing album where she collaborates with a who's who of roots musicians. Her live shows were spectacularly good. Most people thought, based on her own comments, that she was gay. But, most people also thought she was a little bit off the rails. Here she is at her best. http://www.myspace.com/video/kirk-krik/michelle-shocked-the-ballad-of-penny-evans/14272492

I just looked on Hotels.com and you can find really nice places downtown for $100. The Sofitel is $130, which is where I'd stay if I needed to stay downtown for some reason, though the location is not ideal for you. Staying at the airport is depressing. Might as well stay in Southbend and take the train in from there.

I would look along the Mag Mile (Michigan Ave.), maybe around Grand or Illinois. That's right in the middle of the shopping district. If you go too much further north you'll end up where all the clubs are, and further south -- in the loop -- is a bit empty at night. There are nice hotels east and west of Michigan in that area. It is also close to train stations if they want to see the rest of the city.

That's really bad. Used to be that once you hit ~$200 they'd not only get it out that day, but upgrade it to overnight shipping. At least they upgraded their website recently

Anybody else having issues with Mouser shipping these days? They used to be great, but for the last 3 to 4 months, nothing ships when it is supposed to, instead waiting until the next day to ship things out. They used to "upgrade" me to 2 day shipping when they did this, but since ground takes 2 days to me anyway, that was useless. They don't even bother with that anymore. I called and was told that they are short staffed, but this has been going on a long time and seems to happen every time.

I know links to Kickstarter are lame, but these guys are in a maker business group I am part of, and I thought people here might be interested. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1054587410/the-bikespike?ref=email

When did this happen? My S3 got me around San Francisco and the surrounding area with no issues at all a few weeks ago.

high quality balanced DAC (small-ish, lightweight a plus)

I like it as I have a soft spot for transformer coupling And I think it is about the nicest looking gear there is. -

I don't think that's the dac. The dac uses the LL1588's on the output, but I think that's it. I have no idea if it sounds good or not, but it is pretty
