  18. I took 4x5 classes in college and this pretty much lines up with my experience. Indeed, the more expensive the camera gear, the worse the results seemed to be. Take a look at the Mamiya Super 23. It's a 120/220 camera that is a rangefinder but that also incorporates bellows for tilts and swings. It has a ground glass back available for utilizing those (as well as a Polaroid back). It also has 6x6. 6x7, and 6x9 backs and really excellent glass. I had one on loan for a while and it's probably my favorite camera I have ever used.
