Grill cover would cost more than that thing is worth.

Not sure if there are other Throbbing Gristle fans here, but there is a NYT article on Genesis P-Orridge and her declining health.

The L3 is a single feed (not single ended) differential tube amp. The T4 is a parafeed differential hybrid amp. The T5 will be, if it every gets done, a more powerful version of the T4 that also does away with the parafeed cap. The T4 was designed to be less expensive by reducing the power and by eliminating a bunch of assembly labor. But within its output limits I think it is 98% of the quality of the other amps. There are of course a few things you can do with a higher budget, but they are mostly gild on a lily.

It's kind of the very definition of being Ikea-looking. https://www.fastcompany.com/3063312/poaeng-the-little-known-history-of-ikeas-most-famous-chair

I am not really a fan of Crate & Barrel, but I think they got this chair just right. It is not too expensive, and it is very comfortable. Compared to other Z Chair knockoffs, the proportions are good. Short of finding something actually from the middle of last century, that would be my go to.

Congratulations on the new kitten. Sorry to hear about the other news. The best thing you can do with that cardboard carrier is to throw it out - cats can break out of them, and they can run faster than you can. The book below is recommended.

General software advice for Windows
dsavitsk replied to shellylh's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
Windows 10 has antivirus built in and it works fine. Malwarebytes is good for other sorts of malware. Probably more important is locking the system down. There are a lot of default settings to disable, but once done it seems to be relatively OK. -
Very few, if any, components in a computer run off of 19V. There are doubtless myriad switchers throughout. What is the benefit of a linear supply here?

An interesting soccer stat - scoring second is better than scoring first: https://web.archive.org/web/20080829180544/https://www.salon.com/sports/col/kaufman/2006/06/30/friday/index.html https://www.salon.com/2007/05/24/thursday_252/ https://www.salon.com/2006/06/22/thursday_209/

Oddly no, triggered by watching the Americans and hearing Squeeze which led to Sparks and then Joe Jackson. I somehow totally missed out on the existence of Joe Jackson until a few years ago when I was sitting in a bar in Brooklyn and was shocked to hear a weird version of an Anthrax song ... while I'm thinking of it ...

For the office, I might just leave a note on your sofa requesting the cleaning person to stop using it. Also, you don't really need video, so a motion sensing still camera would be fine, too. I'd assume they are all fine for watching the dog. I have an older Ubiquiti camera at home and run their DVR software on an old Linux box.
