If you have moved past the myth that audio wire is somehow special and are willing to use lamp cord, there's a lot of vintage looking cloth covered wire available https://grandbrass.com/18-2-twisted-harvest-gold-rayon-covered-wire/ https://grandbrass.com/18-2-twisted-black-copper-zig-zag-pattern-rayon-covered-wire/

I hope it's more effective than shark repellent

Yes. Roon acts as a library aggregator. So it will combine everything you have stored locally with everything on the services you subscribe to. You don't have to worry about what is where, you just play it. The system will figure out where to get the file.
-
@Voltron for roon, you need a server and a streamer. The nucleus one is a server (it's just a small computer in a fancy box). It can also work as a streamer so long as you have a dac that can take it's output (USB or HDMI). You can then also add additional streamers for other systems. For an existing DAC that is coax/toslink only, you'd need some sort of USB to spdif converter, or a stand alone streamer.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/article/2024/jul/06/newsweek-josh-hammer-misogyny-taylor-swift the fact that many people still think of Newsweek as a vaguely reputable brand – has proved very useful to the far right. In 2022, for example, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a respected civil rights advocacy organization, published an extensive analysis that found that after Newsweek positioned the political activist Josh Hammer to run its opinion pages..., the magazine took a “radical right turn by buoying extremists and promoting authoritarian leaders”. In his personal podcast, the SPLC observe, Hammer has frequently spoken about “[shifting] the Overton window” and pushing far-right views into the mainstream; that, arguably, was also his goal at Newsweek. As the New Republic noted back in 2020, it certainly looks a lot like Newsweek’s “former legitimacy is [being] used to launder extreme and conspiratorial ideas”.

Everything about this whole album is great, but I think I could listen to the saxophone part at 2:52 on infinite repeat and be content

I used to own a Contax G. It's a great camera with great lenses. It will do AP, shutter priority, full auto, or full manual. Olympus OM system (1, 2, 3, or 4, not the consumer level bodies) might also be worth a look as they are much more compact and quieter than contemporary SLRs. I like the picture, but as a personal preference I think the composition would be stronger if you took a step to the right, squatted down, and pointed a little to the left and tilted higher or lower. That would get the vanishing point out of the center of the frame, move the horizon from the center, move the arrow on the parking sign to the right and make it point into the shot rather than out of it, and emphasize either the building, the sky, or the ground. And one of the things that was really hammered home to me was to avoid taking pictures from eye level where people already see. Instead, get high, or low, in order to give a perspective that is a little out of the ordinary. -

I played around with one 30 years ago. If one were a collector and a Leica completist it's worth having, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a camera to use. Have you looked at the various Rollei 35's? -

@EdipisReks1 Mamiya 6 is a super cool camera. You might consider a split circle focusing screen -
