Yeah, what Vicki said. And you all inherited her Million Dollar smile, which is a really nice thing to inherit. Touching.

I believe he is asking the newbs to read their Welcome PMs. They arrive via PM upon registration, and are also scattered about in people's signatures.

X3. I was just at Binny's, saw those, and didn't know enough about them to buy. If anything, post MORE of this info, not less!

Nice job!

Ambiguously gay superheroes Harsh. But funny. Although not funny for much longer.

I know, right? That's what's so funny! And I would agree, I would not consider it profane, but apparently it is!? So glad the forum rules were clarified! Boner Boner Boner Boner Boner Boner Boner Boner Boner Boner Boner Boner.

I found this to be an interesting read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profanity In fact, I lollered at this: 'The most-used swear words were fuck, shit, hell, damn, God damn, bitch and boner.' In fact, the next time I'm really pissed, I'm going to say, 'Oh, fuck, God damn, bitch and boner'.

Interested in how you like that Emmy Lou Harris, Dinny!

Before I even read the obit, I noticed that you had her 'million dollar smile'! I'm sorry for your loss, but happy for a long and full life, including a Giants championship, many life achievements,a great life philosophy, and for the fact that she held on long enough for all of you to be with her during her transition to whatever comes next. This world will miss her!

I've used Quicken Deluxe for personal finance and very basic business tracking for 16 years now. There was some setup invloved, but it was not hard to learn. It's been indispensible for me to track income/expenses, pay bills, monitor investments. My business is healthcare, so I have separate software for billing, filing insurance claims, and tracking payments. I do track bank deposits with Quicken and categorize types of payments, and that's worked well for me. I have no employees, so have no need for payroll. I have no products (i guess I AM the product), so have no need for invoicing or tracking materials. If you have needs for some tracking of income/expense, and such for a small business , plus a need for personal finance, then Quicken Home and Business is still pretty inexpensive. I probably would have gotten that, but it didn't exist when I started my practice. If you need invoices, payroll, and complex tracking of income/expense, then something in the Quickbooks series is probably needed, but it gets a lot more expensive. I've never used it, but wouldn't hesitate to try it, if I needed it. My only warning is that with Quicken, at least, they get you in a cycle of having to get new software every 3 years or so, if you want to use their online services, like downloading transactions or such, Also, the bill paying connection between Quicken and my bank wasn't consistent. So I pay bills online on my bank's website, then download the transactions into Quicken. Ideally, you'd enter payments directly in Quicken. Could be a quirk with my bank. In any case, yes, i've found Quicken to be very useful and worthwhile. Just go to their website to see what features you'd need. Good luck!

And when they start complaining, they will labeled as non-compliant. Ok, here's your next case. http://actontreadway.com/w-padpackb.htm And here is your next assignment. Throw your iPad2 out of an airplane, video tape it, and watch the video over and over. Perhaps a little bit of Ludwig Van in the background.

Sorry to hear that. But really, it sounds like it's actually been kind of therapeutic for you. I'm going to have my OCD patients start purposely ruining their stuff bit by bit until they tell me they are doing better. I'll have a really high success rate, except for the patients who drop out. And those patients will be labeled as non-compliant. Edit: HPA, I found the case for you! 'iPad survives 60-foot fall to pavement in soft case' http://m.cnet.com/Article.rbml?nid=20078941&bid=1&test=20078941&assetType=BLOG_POST&beginStartDate=20110614&endStartDate=20110713

Or that ...

Well, if you like smoke, this certainly has got it! It's like someone walks by and takes a torch to the stuff while they're producing it!
-
Didn't have time to find a recipe for a mixed drink this weekend, so decided to do some sipping before going to bed. Whoa nelly, that's some strong and smokey stuff! I THINK I like it, but it'll take some getting used to. It reminds me of the first time I had a Lagavulin. I knew there was good stuff there, but I really had to get used to the smoke and the strength. i still intend on finding some recipes for this, as well. I suspect I'll like it more when mixed into a cocktail.

Hooray for Claire!

At the free outdoor concert at Grant Park (you all remember the big silver bean?) having a picnic with the family. Weather is perfect. Program: Marquez: Leyenda de Miliano Rodrigo: Concierto de Aranjuez Dvořák: Symphony No. 7 Food and wine: Cueva de las Mannos Malbec, Manchego and Stilton cheese, pickled okra, garlic stuffed olives, chips and mango key lime salsa, genoa salami, chocolate dipped strawberries, French baguette. Best part ... Kids are behaving. So far. Great, considering our sitter fell through! Life is good.

Yeah, probably not worth it. I was thinking it might be nice for a bedside rig to feed a USB DAC. Congrats on the iPad2! Congrats on the Emotiva preamp! Your system has evolved quite a bit over the last year!
