  1. Fitz and aardvark ... you have some serious talent! Would a Bollywood dance scene somewhere in the background be appropriate? ... and wowzers! Didn't know Debby Harry had already jumped the shark before I had my crush on her. Now it's even worse.
  2. Well, that's a nice sized party! Apparently, our area has developed a reputation, and people actually drive in from all over. It's kind of crazy.
  3. Cool idea. But we get several hundred kids every year. I'm not sure I'm ready to dive into buying drinks for that many adults!
  4. Thanks, my brethren! Will print this and show to wife. On second thought, maybe not. Will just take pride in having the backing of the cognoscenti!
  5. Sounds nice! Happy Birthday, Emily!
  6. Wow, unbelievable - waaay too early for that much snow! Good luck to you all. I've read it is predicted that it will be a very tough winter here in the midwest, I wonder if this is an indication of that.
  7. Heh, I'd be glad to. But I only look good to cocktail amateurs. To anyone on the HC drinking thread, I'm still very much the apprentice!
  8. No, I think that featured Jimmy Walker's 'Dynomiiiiiite!', this was from Happy Days. I lollered. Can someone with skillz paste The Fonz's face over Chuck's and maybe put some viking horns on?
  9. Nice purchase ,Shelly! Cool pics, wmcmanus! Should be a good holiday season! Nice setup, Justin! CJ, I buy less than the other regulars here, but I've been buying a lot more than ever before. Sometimes a bottle can sit for months, sipping here and there. Then last night we had a gathering of good friends. and the guys who previously thought they didn't like bourbon, fell in love with the Van Winkle lot b and Eagle Rare, and the women loved the Herradura and mescal margaritas and St. Germain cocktails, so together, we polished off an almost full bottle of the Van Winkle, 1/4 of the Eagle Rare, 3/4 of the Herradura, 1/2 the mescal, and 1/2 the St. Germain. Good thing they could walk home and not have to drive! Lots of props to HC, because this is where I expanded my knowledge exponentially! Even Anne said at the end of the night that my drinks (really, HC drinks) were the hit of the party!
  10. I'm going to take a closer look at my network setup first, I suspect that is to blame. I use an older plug in network extender which uses the house electricity wiring to extend the network. I'll contact Dennis if I still have trouble. Thanks for the info.
  11. Heh, you're smarter than I am. Anne always laughs at me like I'm crazy when I take a picture before eating. She also laughed at me last night because I ordered a Sazerac to drink, and the waitress came back to tell me they had no rye, did I want to have one with another kind of whiskey? I smiled and said 'well, that wouldn't be a Sazerac then, would it?' (I said it with a friendly smile and laugh). Anne laughed at me and said a year ago she'd have never guessed I'd become a cocktail snob. I harrumphed and told her my Head Case friends would understand!
  12. Is hwkn a Wildcat I hope?!
  13. Thanks! It's too bad he didn't kill and eat the shark.
  14. Yummy! Too bad no pics!
  15. All my other FLAC files work fine, only the 24/96 FLAC don't work. I've only recently started buying 24/96 HDTracks, so they're all new. Edit: Oh, and BTW, I was referring to the PWD bridge firmware maybe needing an update.
  16. What does this entail? I've been playing FLAC, mp3, and Apple Lossless without a problem direclty off my NAS for weeks without a problem. Only now with the HDTracks 24/96 FLAC is there a problem. I wonder if I need to update its firmware? edit: When I check my current firmware, I get this: Bridge Version 0.2.12 DAC Version 1.8.25 Is this current? (I've checked the PS Audio website and it's hard to find)

  18. Does this play 24/96 FLAC off a NAS, directly into its network bridge without a computer? Having trouble with HDTracks music and everything else is ok. The HDTracks music sounds great and no problems through my computer via Media Monkey to PIco DAC.
  19. Yeah, the time I was served, I had no idea what was going on. Some guy walks in, asks my name, hands me a giant packet of papers and walks off. I read the first page or two and still didn't know what it was. All kinds of words I didn't understand, something about a complaint against me. Big deal, someone's always complaining about something, right? I actually had to call my insurance carrier and read it to them, and they explained that what I had in my hands was a lawsuit. FFFUUUU! Good luck, Vicki. Sounds like you're one among many named. They'll ask you a bunch of questions, it'll take forever, lots of waiting and worrying, then someone will pay someone something, and it'll be over. Maybe, hopefully, you'll be dropped from the case.
  20. I'm trying to do all my end of the day paperwork here, but I can't because I can't stop watching these videos and I'm laughing too damn hard! I'm just waiting for the video/pic of a dead Indian woman inside a dead putrid shark which is being eaten by a mighty viking who is drinking Black Death and listening to high rez audio on his Omegas and stomping on a pair of LCD3s, while in the background, a superhuman Indian guy is being chased by the police and tears through a group of Indian dancers. And shouldn't 'The Fonz' make an appearance somewhere? Oh wait, didn't Mel Brooks already do this at the end of Blazing Saddles?

  23. Oh, how apropos! I hope you post a video of yourself consuming this stuff. Maybe something that looks like a combination of the above James May video and Tyll's Dre Beats video.
  24. I somehow missed that whole debacle. Perhaps I should consider myself fortunate? Wow, that James May is a real man! And I think he washed it down with some Black Death!
  25. Is that spritzer in that picture?
