  1. Sorry to hear about Jukka.
  2. Thanks a lot Todd! Definitely missed you all while it was down! Definitely let us know if there's a fund drive for costs.
  3. Good point. What if they unplugged you from the matrix? What exactly IS real? Dr. Dre isn't real. Beats by Andre Young, now THAT would be real!
  4. Happy weddings to Reks and jp's sis! Sorry to Al! Hope you feel better soon.
  5. Happy birthday, mythical figure!
  6. Ew. Good luck, Al!
  7. Good luck, CJ! I'd be happy to take a look. Just PM me.
  8. This. Good luck, Al.
  9. 'Nice scratching post! And it plays music while I scratch!'
  10. Happy Birthday, Antonio!
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. Wow! Pics? Alien space pods in the garden soon ...
  13. Wow! I guess we're pretty lucky. There could have been much more property damage or injuries. Didn't realize just how dry it was south of here.
  14. Thanks! It is quite nice. It's also a contractor's dream ... most of the houses are about a hundred years old, so there's always something needing to be done! And to top it off, it's very liberal and mixed racially and socioeconomically, and probably the most rainbow friendly suburb in Chicagoland! The trees are really nice. They give the area an old neighborhood feel, and provide shade in the summer. They also require me to rod the central sewer line every 1 1/2 years to unclog them from tree roots, and they drop leaves and seeds like crazy every fall and spring! Yin and yang, I guess. Wer're not too bad up here. The people who garden as a hobby are fretting, but it's really been fine. Not much grass to cut! And we get the occasional blast of rain, like we did this morning. Although we were out of town for the worst of it! Hope you get some rain down there! Shelly, sorry for your gas problem ... wait, that didn't sound right. Well, hope it's finally all fixed, in any case.
  15. Quite a storm that passed through here this morning. Glad that huge tree brach on the left didn't land on someone or something of value!
  16. Perhaps not a good fit.
  17. Good luck, Jim! I wonder if you still get the tax break for the energy efficiency thing?
  18. That sucks, Jim! We'll need one soon ourselves, as we're close to 20 years on ours, I think.
  19. Nice, I wish I had an Uncle like you!
  20. ... and no need to tell us where it burns right now, thank you very much.
  21. That duck looks awesome! Spicy peppers that burn, not so much.
  22. Can you just roll that into the mortgage? Congrats, Vicki's employer! Athough I'm not that sure what the congrats are for ... Shelly, ouch! That could buy a lot of booze!
  23. Antonio, just curious, with regards to chronic allergic rhinitis/sinusitis, is there a nasal steroid that you like over any other, or are they all pretty much equal? I've tried a few, and after several weeks, tend to feel edgy (beclomethasone) or get a sore throat and bloody nose (fluticasone, triamcinolone). I did pretty well with ciclesonide, but they took it off the market (so my pharmacist said, but I still see it listed, so maybe my pharmacy or insurance stopped allowing it).
  24. Professional cleaning company that specializes in allergens/mold, and/or a good HEPA filter in the room. Don't know of a testing kit to test for allergies, usually an allergy doc would do that. In terms of testing for allergens in a room, haven't tried one myself, but have heard of them: http://www.allergybuyersclub.com/test-kits.html
  25. ^this. Flying kinda sucks these days.
