We saw Sonny Landreth in a very tiny venue just down the street from us here. Nice concert, really good music. The only dissappointment was that there were strong rumors swirling that his buddy Eric Clapton, who was in town for The Slow Hand tour, would make a surprise visit. Didn't happen, but still a nice concert!
Family camping trip in Wisconsin. Perrot State Park.
Good luck on the Fantastic Voyage, Karen !
How was Coolio? Only rapper I know of to sample classical.
A Change is Gonna Come - Sam Cooke, George Benson did a nice cover in the late 1970’s
Unchained Melody – Righteous Brothers
You Are Everything and Everything is You – The Stylistics
Have You Seen Her – Chi-Lites
One of a Kind Lover Affair – The Spinners
You Can’t Change That – Ray Parker Jr (Not quite a classic like the others, I just like it)
Nice topic, it was a nice trip down memory lane trying to come up w/ these.
Our Prius has been flawless as our main family car. And really, kind of fun to drive in a geeky, rather than sporty way. Totally reliable, and just fantastic, amazing gas mileage. Still with you on the M3, though!
Looks about the same as my VA ID. Must be the same smart card technology for different agencies. I wonder if yours gets you through the airport faster? Ours supposedly does, though I've never tested it!

Happy Birthday! We never met, but I feel like I got to know you a bit from all the wonderful things I've heard in the last week. Rest well. Besides good beer , I'm certain there's good music, as well!
We have neighbors who put up bat houses, and I think they are a benefit. I don't think rabies is common at all in bats. And they generally prefer the bat house over going into your house. We've thought about putting up a bat house on our garage.
Yeah, they're pretty cool when I see them flying around my neighborhood at dusk. Agree that I wouldn't want one in my house, though! And definitely wouldn't want to have to overhead smash one. I always feel bad for the mice that I've killed. But also never saw that I had a choice. Finding their entryway is key ... I hope you found Batty's entryway!
Yikes! That'd be a nightmare! I've had my share of mice in the house and can't stand catching and disposing of them. A flying mouse would be way worse. Did you have to squash it, or were you able to chase it out?
Happy Belated, Tyll!
I remember as well, many years ago, that I'd go out of my way to read the Headroom ads in my monthly Stereophile magazine, just because they were so entertaining, and had such attitude.
