  1. Sorry , CJ, that really sucks. But the bio part wasn't impossible, it sounds like you were Inadequately prepared for it, for some reason. I'd try to figure out what was missing from what you studied, and study it. You are clearly plenty smart, really really smart, but prone to missing important chunks of info somehow. Don't say it was impossible ... figure out what you were missing, and learn it. If you get into med school and tell your med school attending during clinical rounds that he/she is asking you impossible questions, they'll glare at you, give you five more that are harder, and tell you to give the team your report the next day. Sorry, just how it is. If you can't handle that, give up now, before you're $150,000 in debt when you decide to give up. You can do this. I have no doubt that you're smart enough. Go do it!
  2. Sad. Sorry to hear that Shelly.
  3. Saint-Saƫns Symphony #3, Munch, Living Stereo SACD
  4. Hmmm ... that Baconnaise and Bacon candy look pretty good!
  5. I like my DHSA-1 a lot w/ my HP-1s. This reminds me that I still haven't gotten around to listening to the LCD-2 with the DSHA-1 yet! I definitely need to do that! The Arete/Volcano was very clean, but a little sterile for my taste. I still have it in a box if someone wants to buy it!
  6. Really cool stuff, Grahame! Brent, so sorry man, that sounds terrible. Your back again?
  7. Done. Go Superwoman!
  8. Grats Dan!
  9. Grats, raffy! HPA, IIRC, I think Steve Martin WAS the dentist. Bill Murray liked to go for the visits.
  10. Google maps has public transportation available now.
  11. ^This!
  12. Agreed, would love to have The Monkey!
  13. Yes!
  14. Dinny, I've had a Clear 4G Hotspot for a few years now. They've gotten better over the years, and I like it. I get about 3-5MB/s down, which is fine for everything except streaming video. They don't have a monthly cap on data, which is nice. Coverage is spotty, though, you should check the map on the web site and see the estimated signal strength at your folk's house, and how close the their tower is. Depending on your location, Verizon first, then ATT is probably the fastest - about 10-15MB/s down, but they cap the data so I don't think you'll be streaming Netflix. And they're more expensive. I'd suggest look using your cellular carrier maybe doing a data sharing plan with your phone if you don't mind being capped, or Clear if you want unlimited.
  15. Nice, thanks for the heads up! In my own back yard ... I think I can do this!
  16. This is what I do, except using Sinucleanse over Neilmed just because it's easier for me to get cheaper. Plus I use antihistamine eye drops. Nasal steroids give me nose bleeds and make me feel edgy. Oral antihistamines make me feel tired. Pseudoephedrine makes me feel edgy and raises my blood pressure. But that's just me.
  17. I'd be interested in this, too! Let's start a campaign!
  18. I want to do Mammoth Cave then do a bourbon tour!
  19. Sounds like an awesome experience and great cause! I'm in ... have fun!
  20. I've been to Yellowstone, and it's really stunning. Not just for the other wordly geography, but for the nature. Rocky Mountain was really pretty. Bright, colorful, very scenic mountains, wildlife ... We camped there, and I really enjoyed it; I usually barley tolerate camping and only go to make my wife happy. Glacier National Park was nice for its lakes, and scenic vistas from the tops of mountains. The Banff in Canada has huge, sweeping forests with trees as far as the eye can see. I took a train ride through it on the way to Vancouver when I was a kid on a family trip. Grand Canyon is a bit obvious, but needs to be seen! This summer we went to Algonquin Park and Bruce Peninsula, both provincial parks in Ontario, Canada. Beautiful water, trees, and pretty unknown, so very few people around. These next places I've never been, but my wife has. I should say that my wife is the tree hugger of our family. She'd love to visit every National Park in her lifetime, and is the amateur photographer for the family. In her alternative universe life, she'd want to be a National Geographic nature photographer. Arches in Utah - she says it has really unique rock formations. Zion in Utah is full of beautiful canyons and rock formations and is less touristy than most locations. Her bucket list: Crater Lake in Oregon for its spectacular views and interesting perfectly round crater lake from a volcanic eruption. Curious where you live?
  21. Yum. Seafood? I had squid ink black linguini with seafood
  22. Of course ... my bad. Al, that BOP tart sounds great!
  23. Knowing you, you'll roll your own pastry dough with 15 year old starter, crush fresh local fruit with the best cane sugar, find the best pop tart bakery pan, bake it to the flakiest perfection, then frost it with homemade frosting made with fresh country shortening and hand churned butter.
  24. Congrat, Shelly!
