  1. Thanks everyone! Love you all! HC has been great for me ... amazing to get messages like this from all over the country! Deepak, really cool that you'd remember I'm a Browns fan! New owner, New coach ... it's all gonna change for us starting now! (Last Cleveland championship of any sort? 1964, the year before I was born) I had a great early bday dinner at Girl and the Goat Friday night. http://www.girlandthegoat.com/'>http://www.girlandthegoat.com/"]http://www.girlandthegoat.com/'>http://www.girlandthegoat.com/"]http://www.girlandthegoat.com/'>http://www.girlandthegoat.com/"]http://www.girlandthegoat.com/'>http://www.girlandthegoat.com/ (See the 'what are you eating' thread). I've been wanting to go there for years but the wait list is usually several months out. Anne got lucky last week. Got together with some friends last night. Had a New Belgium Abbey for the first time. Really good ... sorry, no pics. Also got this cool shirt made out of wicking fabric: Daniel is building me a castle with a big audio room in his Minecraft video game. Maya made me an ornament and an 'I love you' stone. In a minute I'm taking Daniel to build his first Pinewood Derby car for Cub scouts. I have no clue what I'm doing and am terrible in a workshop. Then tonight I get my choice of dinner location. Someplace with noodles, since my Mom always told me it was a Chinese tradition to eat long noodles on your bday to have a long life. Thanks again, it's been a good weekend! Now Anne and I just have to get over this nasty cold and hope it isn't actually the flu.
  2. Sounds like a nice weekend, Mike!
  3. Sorry for the delay ...
  4. Bread with mushroom butter and tomato oil vinaigrette, mushroom ragout, chick pea fritters, Diver scallops...with a bunch of other stuff, goat belly coulis with lobster, crab and creme fraiche, bittersweet chocolate toffee with shiitake caramel gelato and shiitake gastrique... Pics to come
  5. Bryan, nice, good luck with the new project! Hopefully they will allow you to 'bring value' this time! Cool Tesla. Motor Trend Car of the Year, I believe. Yet don't know anyone who has one.
  6. I think so, but it's more of a 'tastes awful' vs. tastes clean and is smooth. So the better ones taste more like nothing to me. But then what's the point, right? I tend to drink less vodka these days, and then when I do, it's often mixed with something to give it flavor.
  7. Oooh, yummy!
  8. But can he cook?
  9. No tensors in psychiatry. A lot of tension, though!
  10. Would you have been mad if some random guy took your pic because he thought it looked funny?
  11. Today I saw a guy at Panera Bread Skype phoning someone on his 15" Dell laptop. Not so unusual I know, but what WAS unusual was that he was holding the laptop up to his ear and mouth with one arm/ shoulder as if it were a cell phone. I was tempted to take a pic without asking him, but didn't want to risk a fight. He looked really serious about this call, and a little frustrated by the inconvenient size of his 'cell phone'. And some say the Samsung Note is too big ...
  12. Happy Birthday!
  13. Sounds great ... I'd love to seen pics! I guess it never happened ...
  14. Really great latency!
  15. Mom's ox tail stew. It's good to be home!
  16. Wasn't expecting the congee and century egg love. Will have to extend an invitation next time I come to Cleveland! These ingredients and dishes are often available via the back door. Ask the Chinese restaurant for the menu reserved for the Chinese customers and staff or the store for the same. Or maybe your Chinese friends at the school know of places if you ask them. Those Hong Kong dishes sound really interesting. I really need to get there some time. Or is it too late already?
  17. congee with century egg, Chinese pickles and dried pork. Good to be home!
  18. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I feel so fortunate to have my family with me, they are my life. And so fortunate to have you, my HC family, in my life. You have given me so much growth in my life!
  19. Drove to Cleveland with the family one day early yesterday to avoid driving in a snow storm today. Now waking up with pugs on top of me. Will celebrate Christmas #2 today with my parents and brother's family, as well as Daniel's 8th birthday.
  20. Happy Birthday!
