Mine says 'ships late April', too, but it also says 'prepared for shipment', which is new. It's not just the size, it's how you use it. Interesting thought, though - are you aware of evolutionary influences/advantages on the morphology of memory sizes?

Oh my ... I might have to pick up the camera kit. I'd LOVE to stream music over the network to my Pico. I do that w/ my laptop now, but get sick of that thing burning up on my lap. Plus, I'm hoping to leave the laptop at the office once I get my iPad. The only thing I think I'd miss if I did that would be streaming music to the Pico ...

No major sports championships in my lifetime, and I'm 45 years old, the last one was the year before I was born, 1964. Many, many incredible heartbreaks ... I don't see why not. I just opened a free 2G sized www.dropbox.com account and plan to store documents of all types on the iPad by dumping files on my computer into the dropbox folder, and expect it to magically appear in my iPad.

Ryan, you need this for work. There was that program mentioned a while back (or in iPad apps thread?) in which you can download sheet music. Then you can put it on a stand and conduct with it! )

I got that email, too, and my Apple support web page also still says shipping late April. However, my Quicken program just downloaded a transaction from Apple on my DiscoverCard, a charge for $99 for an Apple Online purchase, with no specifics. I looked online and the only thing I could see was 'iPad app' with no price. I looked in iTunes, and there were no transactions for $99. I couldn't remember any purchase, but have been downloading iPad apps left and right already; so I called to ask about this, mainly to make sure I wasn't charged for something by mistake. He looked it up, then ran through, very quickly, all the stuff I ordered, 'case, adapter, keyboard, support', then 'the charge was for the Apple Care support'; yes, I did order that a long time ago, but iPad hasn't been received or shipped yet, why charge for it already (angrily)? He stammered a bit and said they are allowed to charge for the support program before you receive the item and they charge for it when they prepare it for shipping and it will be effective after you activate it ... 'REALLY? .... hmmmmm' .... (Quickly) Any other questions? Thank you sir, (hang up). Am I reading too much into this, or are we VERY close to receiving the email that it's being shipped? )

I'd really like to print off iPad as well. HPA, do you actually use this app, and how convenient is it? When I read the web site, it looks kind of tedious - you have to close out the app you're in, go into the Print n Share app, then print. Is it easier in practice than it sounds?

To anyone who ordered the case- I'm curious if it holds the iPad up in landscape sturdily enough to allow touches/gestures without toppling over. Huge difference for me. Can't recall brand names, and I'm on a trip right now. I went the cheapskate route, and still heard a huge difference in imaging and in controlling frequency response anomalies due to room size/ resonance. I have triangles in every corner (very small difference, maybe none), bales of insulating material in the corners behind the speakers (big help in controlling a mid-bass bump), panels on each side wall at the point of first reflection (big difference in cleaning up image), panels on the walls behind the speakers (I can't notice a difference). YMMV depending on your particular room, but I think room control is a very important part of any setup. Certainly as important (probably more important) as the crazy things we do for electricity and such! Just my humble opinion ...

Kinda cool. That would be cool if we saw iPads in the concert hall. Would it make page turners obsolete? Or would they still be needed to tap the screen or wave their hand in front of the infra-red sensor at the right moment?

Jp- It didn't sound like a bash at all! I was just wondering out loud how much one might expect to improve the things you mentioned if you had a chance to spend some time obsessively fine tuning. You know, a quarter inch further from the wall, toe in, exact symmetry, choosing your preferred amps/source ... you know, all the things we do instead of actually listening to music! ;-)
