Al, Wow! Sweet! Fabulous! Orgasmic! Seriously, you live my fantasy! My wife can never operate the A/V system. This does not result in beautiful new Ayre components. It results in her getting pissy, and asking why I can't get a simple receiver from Best Buy, like everyone else? A big congrats my friend!

But now mobileMe contacts won't sync with my desktop. Hours with tech support and no go. Seems temporally correlated to the recent updates in iTunes and MobileMe control panel for PC (can I say 'PC' around here?), but not really sure. I'll have to figure out the correct prayers for this problem and pray to the iGods. I've been thinking about a new desktop for the office by the end of the year. Maybe I need to move that timeframe up. And think about an Apple this time?

Wow, all my contacts and calendar items have magically re-appeared after being gone for about 7 hours. The gods must have been pleased with my iPad mantras ...

Escalated to the senior advisor team ... must be serious.

My contacts all vanished. ( I was entering an item in the search field to look up a name, the app crashed, and all the contacts vanished. Online w/ tech support now. I've disabled and re-enabled the account, and then deleted and re-entered the account. I still see everything on mobileme, and on my desktop, but I still get really nervous because I've had entire databases vanish on me in the past w/ other products. Bah! Yes, I'm backed up. But still ...

Happy Father's Day! Apparently there's a gift somewhere from my 5 year olds. Then I get to choose lunch. I'm kinda thinkin' of my fave pub/brewery, Two Brothers. (Never been to FFF ... yet)

Thanks, Steve! Looks sweet! AKUS is on my VERY short list of bands I HAVE to see.

Big fan of Sprecher. My wife grew up in the Milwaukee area, so she tipped me off. Very nice root beer, esp on tap, which some places around here have. They have some pretty nice beers, too, but not as good as the other beers you all sampled here.

Oh, the anticipation!!! Congrats, Vicki, look forward to hearing how you like it!

X2. That was the first time I really LIKED listening to a HD800. The Ghost was thoroughly enjoyable! And listening to Ari's explanation of circuit design and parts choice, though mostly over my head, was a treat unto itself!

I used to live in Ohio and now live in Chicago. Unfortunately, the bastardized Uno's in Ohio barely resembles the real thing. Hard to sample every pizza joint in Chicago in one weekend. I think you guys did a great job trying!

Saw Joshua Redman solo a few years ago in Chicago. Just outstanding. But needed some backup - must have been great with his new band! Didn't know he had formed one.

Need to go see Muti some time. Never a big fan of Barenboim, I'm hoping I like Muti more. Last night, saw these guys at The Old Town School of Folk Music: http://houseofwaters.com/live They're a hammered dulcimer based jazz band, and holy crap, the dulcimer guy is amazing!

Would a pole, sorry ... poll be appropriate here?

Yeah, it's definitely still a problem, and I still hear stories. But I'm glad to see some of these changes occuring from official channels/leadership.

I just got this email at my part time job (Veteran's Administration Hospital), things change slowly, but they can change ) : Equal Employment Complaints Based on Sexual Orientation VA Secretary Shinseki has issued an All-Employee memo entitled “Processing Equal Employment Complaints Based on Sexual Orientation.” It outlines immediate changes for processing complaints of discrimination based on sexual orientation within the Department of Veterans Affairs. Previously, VA’s Office of Resolution Management processed complaints based on sexual orientation through the informal counseling stage only. Effective immediately, such complaints meeting appropriate requirements will be processed through formal investigation as outlined in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regulation 29 C.F.R. 1614. In his memo announcing the change, Secretary Shinseki states “It is my conviction that each employee has a moral and ethical obligation to eradicate discrimination in any form and foster a workplace that is free from discrimination.”

Not even a new pair (or two) of IEMs!?
-
Sorry if I misquoted you, I just remember you not being too excited about them and I really was. I'm scheming about getting a pair myself, but will probably need to sell some stuff. Congrats on your order!
-
Cool! Good for you! You mentioned to me in passing that you weren't so impressed. Did you hear them again on a different set up? The Cavalli maybe?
-
Just googled 83.74287. Nothing pops up. I was hoping this number had some mathematical significance ...
-
Have we met? I could try, but I really specialize in IEM-adapter-plug-stuck-in-ear removals. And I'd be two hours late. Just ask asr.

Awesome! That would be a Battle Royale between The Crusher and spritzer! My money is still on spritzer ... spritzer would give him 'the bear hug', and it would be over.
-
Wow. I'd much rather hold his bag and smoke his pipe than this. I feel fortunate.

The Crusher may have been the only person at CJ who could have matched your size and strength. Just look at his icon ... Perhaps you're lucky to have missed ... The Crusher ...
