Ouch! What are they doing to you? Site visit by some obnoxious governing body?

Good news! Perhaps your partner needs an iPad!?

I know people who grill year 'round. They shovel a path through the snow to get to the grill!

Perhaps a cocktail from the 'Zapiekanka bar'? Cafe Two07 (Cafe Two) | MySpace

I'm in! If I can figure out how to use photobucket on an iPad, here's the worthwhile part of my liquor collection: I can bring any or all. Plus I expect to get that 3fer shipment from Caddell Williams this weekend. Used to have some nice tequilas, but must have used them all up on our neighborhood block party. ( Thrilled you're using my ChiLiquiFi name! It came to me in the shower this AM after reading and loving the idea! Let me know how else I can help. Edit: Whew! Sorry for the glare! That's Remy XO in the center, Daviaud XO just to its left, and Eagle Rare single barrel Bourbon just to its right.

Edit: I'm in! Just saw the actual new thread. Moved there.

Tchaik Violin Concerto Heifetz In honor of MPI.

Chi-liqui-fi ... And how beautifully apropos is the theme? I can bring my humble collection of liquors. Not large, but there's some quality there.

That would resolve some things for me ...

I have to say, Jim and Al, all these cocktail recipes going back and forth between you two is really intriguing! Too bad I'm too damn lazy to do anything about it! x2. Nice job!

Monkey, I noticed you saying your 4 yr old has taken a liking to your iPad. My 5 year olds have really liked the Toy Story app. Plus two educational apps I like (and they sometimes like) are iwritewords and flashcards. Check it out!

Correction, apparently pics are uploaded to the Eye Fi site first, then downloaded to your computer and/or your preferred photo web site. Makes sense. Anne has never complained about the speed of the card, but then she doesn't do a lot of action shots. I'd think battery life might be the bigger issue. But then I still have a slow DSL line, so it takes forever to upload.
-
One other feature I love in our model is that it will delete old photos after confirming an upload, to automatically free up space in the card!

Al, I bought one for my wife's camera because I was tired of having to help her upload pics into her computer. It's been mostly good. The concept is great, all your pics upload to your computer then to your photo web service automatically when you're within wifi range. It was easy to set up, seems to work well, with only an occasional inability to find the wifi signal. Her biggest problem has been that it has been eating up the battery in her camera. Haven't researched a cure yet, but have encouraged her to be sure to turn off the camera at night rather than leaving it on standby. I'm guessing the card keeps polling for a wifi signal when the camera is left on? She hasn't complained about it for a few weeks now, so maybe that did it? I'll ask her how it's been when I see her.

I remember this, too, (but not the exact details of the patent infringement) and thought that was what put Apogee out of business. But when I tried to do a search, couldn't find anything, and someone else later posted that this wasn't true at all.

LOL. Happy Gotcha Day! Congrats Susie! I just love a happy ending!

Happy Birthday!

No! Don't do it, Steve! I can help! Actually, I just read that post. I don't think I can help. Sorry. But get back to me if you have anything stuck in your ear.

No way, man! You're gonna do well! And even if you don't take a first, it's awesome anyway! ) I think that ankle brace looks bad-ass! Get two, and you can pass as a Mixed Martial Arts fighter! MMA Fight Gear Online: Hayabusa - Ashi MMA Foot Grips Seriously though, hope that helps. My wife LOVES her nature walks and she would get one of those in a heartbeat if she needed one! )

Wow, amazing! How about if you post your DVD audition here? I'd love to see it! But understand if you wouldn't want to ... It must have been the 1982 competition I saw. I remember watching it with my parents, and that was the year before I left home for college. I remember a few of those names, plus remember that no one won for piano. Didn't realize it's every 4 years, and didn't know there was a voice and cello portion, either. Definitely keep us posted - I'm very interested.

I didn't realize you can choose your compulsory pieces. On the TV coverage of it IIRC, everyone played the Tchaikovsky concerto. I figured this was required because it's the Tchaikovsky competition. Is the idea that you want to showcase your ability to play expressively, to play technically, and to play well balanced? The Chaconne and anything Paganini must be just exhausting. I can't even understand how you can remember so many damn notes! Didn't they say Paganini was reputed to have sold his soul to the devil to be able to play like he did? Sorry to hear it, Vicki. I can't stand spending money on health stuff, it's just the worst.

... well, of course, there's doing the NASTAY! Someone had to say it! Brian, I'm pretty sure I have a few cams sitting around the house and office that I'm not using. They're a few years old, though, and one of them is USB1. But the price is right. I can send them your way if you want.

I had read about that, but also read that if you don't really know what you're doing, you might brick your unit. True?

Shelly, I had the same problem years ago, and ended up getting a second WRT54G for the first floor of my house. It's worked well, but it was a pain to configure. I can't even remember how I did it - I had tech support on the phone and they walked me through it. I'm very interested to know if the Extreme resolves your problem for future reference... if one of my current routers dies, I'd prob look for a new solution like the Extreme.
