  1. Perhaps not. I just looked it up, and it's going on 7 years now on the original bulb. The last Cleveland sports championship was in 1964, one year before I was born, so there hasn't been a cnampionship in my lifetime. Do the math ... my age, plus one, that pretty much adds up to infinity. Plus, the bulbs in my model year were known to blow really quickly. My Tv bulb should be in the news, like the guy who's driven his car for a million miles,
  2. I'm glad to hear thiis. I have the same TV, and have a replacement bulb on the shelf ready to go. I am certain that the bulb will die at precisely the moment helll freezes over, ie, the moment a Cleveland sports team wins a championship.
  3. Shazam is da bomb for naming most music, but it doesn't seem to work for classical. Searched online, and can't find anything - anyone know of a Shazam type app for classical?
  4. What the ... did I really do that?! Sorry ... must have been drinking ...
  5. I am old. I shed a tear of joy downloading Atari. My 6 yr old son was just asking me a few days ago if we had video games like xbox 360 when I was a kid. I tried to explain that we kinda did, but not really, it was a little simpler ... I tried to explain Pong, but he just kinda looked at me funny. Now I get to show him ... and have him look at me funny.
  6. Patricia Barber, The Cole Porter Mix.
  7. So that was the contraband? Nice! I fell in love with Caipirinhas at a Cuban place down the street. They recently closed, which broke my heart. Tried to make my own, but it sucked. The liquor store nearby only had one cachaça, and I think it wasn't very good. Might have to try again! Me: Finally had a chance to open these ...
  8. Oh, I thought it said something about Good Luck in Madison! Happy Bday!

  11. I go to conferences in Madison regularly and my wife went to med school there. We both like it a lot, and even feel like we could live there.
  12. Big ol' grilled Angus Rib Eye, baked potato, grilled asparagus. The place said their sour dough starter was imported from France and 200 years old. So they said.
  13. Happy B day!

  15. Sorry about the job, Jacob. Sounds like you're better off where you are now, anyway, huh? You must be well connected to know all the salaries. that stuff is usually verboten. Bryan, good luck with the continuing hunt. Sounds like you have some nice opportunities lined up already. pretty good in this economy! Keep us informed! Me: San Diego Zoo yesterday. Huge! Today we pack up and drive to Joshua Tree.

  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. 'You folks' are very tidy! I'd argue that this system is homophobic. Y'all get ripped off at every turn. Actually, I wasn't aware of this, and it's good to know. So the sender gets no notice that his PM is going nowhere? Definitely a setup for misunderstandings, glad you guys worked it out. Salty, hope your dtr is ok! One of the worst experiences in life is sitting in the ER because you're child is sick.
  19. Party at Allison's!

  23. Bled money at Disney yesterday. It was ok. Kids had fun. Bled money at Legoland today. Really cool place. Both kids liked it more than Disney, and so did both parents. I can't believe what they build with the damn things. Look at these mini cities, Mt Rushmore, and one part of the new Star Wars area opening this Thursday. Some of these reached 20 ft in height or more! This is just the tip of the iceberg:
  24. Oooooh. Looks like I jinxed you.Sorry about that.
