  1. HD600 are ordered. I forget if I already asked this. Are the Airmotiv 4 a big step u from the audio engine 5?
  2. Very funny Ken! Dan, that is a very tempting option and I may end up getting a pair for the home or office at some point. However, I like to keep my door open and I don't think one of neighbors will really appreciate the Airmotivs. I try to stick to speakers after 5pm. And I see that the Airmotiv 4's are on sale for $299...
  3. I will most likely stick with the HD600, just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was forgetting about or something new and great. I really need open so that I can hear the phone ring or hear if someone comes into the office. Since I have my own office, leakage is not a problem. I tried the DT990 at some point - I think it was ok but don't remember much about it. The problem was that if I leaned my head downward (which I have to do often when I am working with pencil/paper), they would fall off my head. I assume that the DT880 would be the same.
  4. I do but then I would have to wear a bandana everyday to work.
  5. The one root canal I had was one of the most painful experiences of my life... she kept having to give me shots directly into the roots and it just wouldn't get numb. Sorry Stretch.
  6. My HD580 drivers (at least one) are dead and so instead of getting new drivers and fixing the old/used cans (which seem to be at least missing foamy pieces), I am thinking of picking up an HD600 from Justin for the office. I like the clamp of the HD600/650 for one - the HD580 is a little loose for me especially since it is used and a little stretched out. Before I do, I was wondering if there is anything else out there that I should consider (I am guessing no). I like that the HD600 are laid back and fairly neutral and comfortable. This is key for the office. I'll be using them with Pico DAC/amp or Nate's DIY Torpedo + Pico DAC. I briefly thought about getting an SRM-323s and SR-207 (or using my SR-404LE) but it will be much cheaper to stick with dynamics and the HD600 are much more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I guess I should also mention, that I don't want to spend too much or else I would just get an HD800 or ... for the office.
  7. We have a big roundabout nearby but there are usually others around.
  8. I'll have to remember that for next time.
  9. The tires are bought and on the car. It is nice to have tires that aren't 9 years old. They seem to have good rain performance based on reviews but we'll see. The tire that kept coming up with better rain performance was the Goodyear Assurance Comfortred Touring but people had other complaints about that tire. Plus, I didn't really want to get Goodyear. It was raining today but not hard and I thought about trying to test them out but it was during rush hour and there were too many cars around. I don't like crashing into other cars.
  10. They don't have them in my size.
  11. Are these other tires actually better than the Michelin Primacy or are the just a better deal. Hubby would just rather pay a bit more to get a brand that he "trusts" as long as it is a good tire. It seems like the Kumho tires are a lot cheaper than Michelin tires. Also, I don't have so much time to search around for different tires right now.
  12. Hubby want to stick with Michelin (and not go with some brand that he hasn't heard of) and since it is technically his car, we're going to have to do that. I've gone ahead and made an appt with Discount Tire to get the Primacy MXV4 put on this afternoon. Hopefully it'll be an improvement over our current tires.
  13. Reading more about tires, I am wondering if we should get summer tires insteda of all season. It doesn't really snow here but we usually get a lot of rain (when we are jot in a drought).
  14. It did snow here a couple of years ago but yeah, I'm probably not going to spend a lot of time researching winter tires. Thanks for all the suggestions. I had never heard of Yokohama tires before. I'll have to look into them. I assume that this will be the last pair of tires we put on the car. It is a 2004 Honda Accord EX V6 which only has ~40,000 miles on it but we will probably want a new car in a few years (when all the little plasticky bits start falling off). Wayne: The treadwear on these is better than the ones we have, it is rated at 620.
  15. I already went to tirerack.com and it was helpful but this still doesn't answer my question about the various load ratings.
  16. Fuck Brent, this is really not your year! I am happy to hear that everyone is ok and that you were wearing seatbelts. Nonetheless, accidents are really scary and I am sorry you and the kids had to go through that.
  17. We need to get new tires for our car. The originals were Michelin Energy Saver A/S - P205/60R16 91V. The ones I am looking at are Michelin Primacy MXV4 205/60R16 92V. The load rating on the replacements would be slightly different but higher so I assume this is ok. From reading, it seems that I just don't want to get a lower load rating.
  18. I did somehow manage a win this week, no thanks to Brady and Lynch. Luckily I have a decent D/ST and kicker. Luckily I have picked up Jake Locker which could help my QB position as long he stays healthy.
  19. Is that not how websites are made nowadays? I guess I'll need to change my ways... ok, well, at least I don't use vi anymore.
  20. Wait, so you hadn't tried the Psvane before or it was noisy and now it is quiet? Don't use the stock tube, it's teh sucks.
  21. So, are you saying you want to trade for Brady?
  22. Jeff, you look amazing! Keep up the good work.
