  1. I think the "it's not profitable" is key here.
  2. I eat eggs and chicken all the time with no problem that I know of so I wouldn't think that I would have a sensitivity to either. My skin reaction to the flu shot was very pink, warm, it was a few inches in diameter, and lasted for several days (or maybe longer, I can't remember). I talked to a person who gave the shot and she said it looked like a skin reaction and wasn't too worried about it. There were no hives. Benadryl made it better. My skin is very sensitive to everything nowadays. Perhaps the Supartz would be fine... I'm just not sure it is worth the risk or money. I'm tired of being injured.
  3. Ok, I have an appointment for a cortisone* injection but for now I've decided to get a tube of Traumeel. I am skeptical but I guess it can't hurt to try. *The orthopedic surgeon suggested to get Supartz with the cortisone injection because he says they tend to work well together. I am somewhat reluctant because of possible side effects and it isn't covered by insurance so it will be an extra $200. My reluctance comes because I had an fairly bad skin (allergic) reaction last year when I got a flu shot. Also it says the following: "tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to bird proteins, feathers, or egg products" which is what they also say about the flu shot. There is no real indication that I know of that the trouble is arthritis.
  4. I love the flexibility of the app since I have about 4 different computers that I use. I have turned the app off on all but my two main computers (Macs, where I sync everything). I think the problem started when I just wanted to sync a couple of folders on my Windows tablet pc (with a 60GB HD). It was definitely the Windows computer that deleted the files. What is weird is that it only deleted some of the files (chosen at random). Perhaps I turned off the computer and disconnected from the internet before it could finish though.
  5. (Just saw this.) Good point, I hadn't thought of that.
  6. WTF? This article is like a million years old and who cares?
  7. I've spent the last two+ hours recovering ~800 files that my Dropbox on Windows decided to delete on 4-1 (my guess is that selective sync somehow screwed it up). WTF!!! I guess I am lucky that I realized this before the 30days were up.
  8. Hmm, never thought of the toaster oven... that is a good idea. Ours does around 150 - that is probably a little low though.
  9. This made me laugh. She is right though. Belated congrat to Claire!
  10. Just found out that my graduate student got a very prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship!!! This is the first one we have had in our department in the last couple of decades. I am very excited and proud.
  11. Happy 40th Birthday Doug! Hope you can find a good meal in CT to celebrate.
  12. Sorry about the earthquake damage.
