  1. I may have fixed the door handle to our front door (that keeps falling off). We'll see...
  2. Oops, accidentally left tidal playing all day and used up 32GB of data since 4/11 according to comcast.

    Guitar-Case

Don't laugh - I'm starting all the way at the beginning and playing Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds.". It is a pretty easy to play (maybe too easy) but I am trying to work on my hand positioning (trying to the palm of my handle from cradling the neck) and strengthening my fingers. Did you buy any of the books. I'm thinking it my be convenient to get some of the somgbooks. So far I like his style of teaching.
  4. Oh right, the Neko Case I found but it said that I couldn't play it. I didn't realize there was another copy of the album that you could play. I also found some Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross but I couldn't find that particular album.
  5. Social Network by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross The Worse Things get, The Harder I Fight - Neko Case
  6. Signed back up with Tidal. The first 2 albums I looked to play weren't available.
  7. Those are the limited editions though which are quite difficult to find.
  8. Wow, that is cheap. I don't think you could get it for under $799 right now. The biggest problem with them now seems to be the very large number of them that have grease in the tub that will ruin your clothing. People said that they have had to clean it with Simple Green a lot and run several loads of throwaway towels in them before they are ready to be used. That certainly doesn't sound like fun.
  9. I did get a quote from a local place that sells the Speed Queen 432 for $829 + $55 delivery/install/haul away charge. That doesn't seem as expensive as I thought they were. I'll have to look more into this. It would certainly nice to have a washer that might last more than a few years. I really should start a new thread instead of replying here.
  10. Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, he basically says to get a pricey and difficult to obtain Speed Queen and says that everything else sucks. I'm also concerned (based on reviews online) that quality control of Speed Queen has gone down hill in the recent past.
  11. I was looking at this washer and there were two complaints I was worried about. The first was that it won't wash in really hot water (that it adds cold water to the hot water on the hot setting to be more energy efficient). The second was that it takes a really long time to wash. Doug: Do you know if yours just uses the hot water on the hot setting? Also, how long does it take for a medium size load? I'm not buying anything from BestBuy and it is $420 with free shipping at Home Depot. I am definitely not moving around a washer! Edit: I see this is backordered until 2/23/15 at Home Depot. The other option I was looking at was this LG (WT1101CW). It is a lot more expensive though - $750 delivered (I could wait to see if it goes on sale though). http://www.homedepot.com/p/LG-Electronics-4-3-cu-ft-High-Efficiency-Front-Control-Top-Load-Washer-in-White-ENERGY-STAR-WT1101CW/203578178?N=5yc1vZc3oc I am concerned about getting a repairman out to "fix" the problem because I have this feeling that I will pay them a lot of money and then not have the problem fixed.

    Guitar-Case

I decided to start trying to play the guitar "again." In the past, I just looked up some chords/tabs and/or watched a video of how to play a simple song on youtube. I've decided to go through the justinguitar.com. I'm just at lesson 115 15 but already there were a couple of techniques that I didn't know about. Hopefully this will improve my playing enough to help me keep up with it. My fingers hurt.
  13. I haven't been able to find a decent and reasonably priced plumber so I'm definitely not going that route (Is rather get a new washer). Plus, idling know if they'll know what the problem is. If I get a new washer, I'm definitely thinking of a top loader over another front loader.
  14. There is no water left after it drains as far as I can tell. Also, it doesn't consistently fill up with water and it doesn't do so that slowly. In fact, it probably hasn't filled up since Tim passed I think. This has also been going on for years, this is just the first time that it filled up enough to drip out the front. I should also say that when the clothes are done, there is no water that I can see in the tub.
  15. I found out that a washing machine is heavy to move around by yourself. Our washing machine (front loader) sometimes fills up with water for no reason. We keep the door open (so it doesn't get moldy smelling) but the water never filled up past the bottom. We couldn't find the solution online but thought it was a problem with the control board since it would have random beeps like it was turning on when we weren't using it. We bought the replacement part for $150 and installed it ourself. That worked for a while but then we had the same problem. Also, I think the new control board also beeps randomly sometimes but a lot less that the other one did. I had the idea to keep it set on drain/spin since then if it turned on it would presumably just drain. Nope, that didn't work. Today, I was in the kitchen and heard leaking and realized that it had filled up and was leaking out the front of the washing. Luckily there wasn't too much water on the ground. At this point, I have to decide whether to get a new washer and try to get someone out to figure out what is wrong with it and repair it - sigh. The problem is that I don't know if I am going to be able to keep the house and so I am reluctant to get a new washer (I suppose I could move it with me if there is room in the new place). However, I may not know for a really long time what is happening with house. Sigh. For now, I have the water turned to the washer. This is an ok temporary solution but I am worried that if I turn on/off the water too often this is going to lead to me having to get a plumber out to replace the shut off valves. I guess I could also keep the front door to the washer closed and just run bleach through it every once in a while. It sucks to not have Tim here to help make this decision. Any suggestions? The washer is from 2006 so it isn't that new but isn't all that old either.
  16. How many birthday guitars did you buy?
