I thought that the chemical and odor filter on the IQAir would be on all the time. Did you have it turned off?

OK, I'll try to do everything in the manual settings for now. It would be great to borrow your mic Jacob.

Happy Birthday Stretch!!!

I have a Marantz SR6005 receiver that I used to use with a 5.1 setup (LCR are Monitor Audio silver RX6 and centre while the ss and sub are cheapies). I was planning to get rid of the sub and surround sound speakers and just have a 3.0 setup. Is this ok? The manual only specifically mentions a 2.0, 2.1, 5.1, and 7.1 setup though (nothing about a 3.0 setup). I would be using the LR for music and the LRC for movies/tv. "This unit can perform 2.0/2.1 to 7.1-channel surround playback. This page provides the speaker installation procedure for the 7.1-channel playback using surround back speakers as an example. The default setting is 7.1-channel. You can also perform 5.1-channel playback. To perform 5.1-channel playback, connect5.1-channel speakers only. Use Audyssey Auto Setup function of this unit to automatically detect the number of connected speakers and perform optimal settings for the speakers to be used." http://us.marantz.com/DocumentMaster/US/SR6005_U_EN_UG_v00.pdf Eventually I should get separates but I think this is a better choice for now, especially with the lack of space. Edit: I think I may have thrown away the mic to do the Audyssey Auto Setup.... I think I can just go into the manual setup and set all the volumes on the LCR to be there same? Should I set the LR speakers to "large" or keep them "small" since I won't have a sub. I guess the reason to not set them to "large" is so you don't harm the speakers? According to MA, the speakers have a FR of 35Hz - 35kHz. What about the center speaker (it has a FR of 45Hz - 35kHz but will mostly be used for voices/midrange in movies/tv so I assume it should be set to small)?

I started looking at the IQAir Health Pro Plus and it looks pretty awesome. The biggest difference between that and the BlueAir seems to be the lack of a chemical and odor filter on the BlueAir. How difficult is it to move them from one room to the other? I would like to use it in the living room during the day and bedroom at night.

More adventures with seafood. Both of these appetizers were good (and the tostones de atun was excellent). The rack of lamb was amazing. I haven't gotten to the point where I will order seafood/fish as my main course (mostly because I love red meat/pork too much) but I think I am ready try a good sushi place. Ceviche Acapulqueño cured snapper, tomato, worcestershire, onion, jalapeño, lime Tostones de Atún raw tuna, crisp plantain, grilled lime, cilantro cream Costillas de Borrego con Tamales de Ajonjoli rack of lamb, black bean and toasted sesame seed tamales, greens, pasilla mole All accompanied by a reposado margarita. Unfortunately, no pics.

I hadn't even had time to check whether I won or not. Thanks Brent and Peyton!

Jealous!

They certainly do a lot more damage.

I'm not going to be here for that long so I don't think it's worth it to do the humane traps. Good to know about them for the future and maybe I shouldn't throw rocks at them. I don't mind opossum, they eat cockroaches and mice/rats, carry few diseases, aren't so destructive, and generally try to get in your house. They're not as cute as squirrels but aren't too bad.

Tried to get three raccoons out of my back yard and failed. Evidently, yelling, shining bright flashlights, and throwing rocks at them doesn't scare them one bit. I guess this is why people get guns.

Great, I started off the season by playing someone who was suspended.

ipad pro, WANT!!! I've been wanting something like this for the last 10+ years. Edit: Just saw "just don't touch the screen while sketching with the Pencil." Nevermind, maybe this isn't what I want.

Ordered the Foam Sweet Foam 9" Queen size latex mattress with the following layers: Talalay Med, Dunlop Firm, Dunlop X-Firm They had an extra $400 off coupon for the holiday (making the mattress $1659) and said they would wait to ship it for a week. I'll have it shipped directly to the new place. http://www.foamsweetfoam.com/urban-green-–-queen-9″-or-full-9″.html I'm planning to get this foundation unless someone knows a better option locally (does Ikea have any decent foundation/frames). https://www.sleepez.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/3/products_id/101 I have a queen size frame but it only has 6 wheels. Do you think it is worth getting a frame with 9 wheels fro a queen bed with one person sleeping on it?

In still interested to know how much people like their Casper. Maybe I should just get it as a queen sized instead of the FSF since it is a lot cheaper. I'm mostly concerned with it being too soft and being smelly because of the foam (the last Tempurpedic pillow I bought I couldn't let in my room for a month because the smell would keep me awake and at that point Tim used it not me).
-
I am also I little worried about them ripping the encasement since it has Alpine Dust inside of it from when it was treated for bed bugs. I wouldn't want that stuff all over everything. Mostly, I would really like a new bed and if I move it, I'll probably end up sleeping on this bed for another year.
-
Those who liked their Casper, how is it holding up? Also, how smelly was it when you first got it? How did the Casper compare to the Contour Rhapsody in terms of firmness? I am thinking of getting a Casper (twin size) for a temporary solution while in an apartment (to have more room). It is pretty cheap. I would then get a queen bed from foamsweetfoam once I buy a house. I can put the twin casper in guest room once I buy a house. [I'm not going to pay to have my old mattress moved.]

Wish I had more meat eating friends to go with me... damn vegetarians/vegans/pescatarians.

Does the ipod touch's battery last longer than the iphone's or are they about the same? I suddenly just realized that the ipod touch and iphone have 128GB capacity which may mean that I don't need my ipod classic anymore.

I want brisket!

Doesn't it hurt to carry this in your back pocket?
