My concern is not losing power temporarily, it is lightning that strikes close that it takes out the equipment (this can happen even with a surge protector).
That's interesting. I haven't even looked at the Yggdrasil because I wouldn't buy a DAC (or amp) that needed to be on all the time. We have too many major thunderstorms here so I keep my main gear unplugged when not in use.
I saw her last weekend at Austin City Limits. Of course I have an 3 Apple TVs, thanks for the link. I wonder how long it will be available. I really don't need any more distractions before November 3. Does she take her shirt off in that concert, if not, I don't know if it is worth watching.
I assume I only need to check everyday that the system is supposed to run? It would be a pain to have to drive over to the house everyday to check on it.
Since I'm selling my house for lot valie, it doesn't really matter what happens to the actual house. What is important is that I keep the three big live oak trees alive. I went by the house yesterday and noticed that the grass and azaleas looked really bad. We haven't had much rain but the automatic sprinklers were suppose to be on. I go in the garage and they weren't working. Went back today to check it out and luckily, it was just a blown fuse. I switched it out and they seem to be working again. Fingers crossed.
If she justs wants something to keep out noise and not to listen to music, I really like the purple Flents quiet time earplugs. I started wearing them because Tim snored loudly but now I wear them anywhere I go. I replace them about once a week. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001F5VDVE/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_3?pf_rd_p=1944687722&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001J4HB1C&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1RHT6AWB2P7S1X4VKZ33
