Too expensive?

I would buy one if it had a digitizer pen option, but without that, I really have no use for one (already owning a Macbook Pro, slate tablet pc, Kindle DX and Palm Pre). I do think it a great machine for the average consumer who just surfs the web, checks email and perhaps types up a term paper or two. Certainly seems to be a netbook killer. I just hope that Apple doesn't stop producing ``real'' computers.

I got the following email from Amazon a couple of days ago (because I own an amazon DX cover). I guess they are finally realizing there is a problem. --------- Dear Kindle User, We’re sending this note to remind you about proper attachment and use of your Kindle cover and about Amazon’s Kindle warranty. Hmm, I think that might be a slam. Years of training from hanging out with Scottish mathematicians.

Spent the day at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute at the top of the hill at UC Berkeley - that was great! Then I decided to walk down the hill to get a good coffee (and was sure I could "beat the rain"). However, half way down, I was caught in a nice big hail/rainstorm and spent 45 minutes at the Botanical Gardens gift store waiting out the storm. I did finally get a coffee and a lovely rainbow to go along with it though. Overall, a pretty good day.

I was able to use the link to get a king room for the 3rd - 6th. Now to try and cancel the other reservation.

Just tried to book a room for Thur. 3rd - Sun. 6th with the link and it won't give me the rate. I guess this is because this page lists the rate as being valid for 4th-6th. Do I need to call to get the rate for the 3rd or has someone been able to get this rate over the web?

Just grilled some "grass fed" strip steaks (cooked medium-rare) on the BBQ with mashed potatoes, broccoli and red wine on the side. Good.

Mike, that brisket looks delicious. I may just have to pick up some steak - it is a great day for BBQ - sunny and 62.
