I got my chair from a friend a while back, it is a good chair but I don't know where to get another one (or I would buy a matching one for guests to come over a listen to music and for symmetry).

Set up the Mac Mini as my music server. Works great with the Macbook Pro via screen share (is there a better program to control it?). Also got to spend some time listening to the B22.

Wish you the best Nate. Today was absolutely beautiful here (sunny and 71)! I did a bunch of work in the backyard and atrium (getting rid of all the dead leaves...). In the middle of the yard work, the nice FedEx man dropped off my Namaan (via Mike) B22! Awesome. Finished off the day barbequeing (sp?) steaks and hamburgers for the family (my mom and my husband's parents are visiting for the week). Overall, a really nice day.

Unfortunately, no iphone/touch. Just got a Mac mini. Now I just need an ipad to control my MBP, Mac mini and Mac Pro in the office.

That would be pretty interesting. If something like this worked flawlessly, that would be nice.

I cannot really sell the Macbook Pro because I use it for work (and technically the university owns it). So unless/until they make the ipad a lot faster and with more RAM and with more apps, the MB Pro is not going anywhere (need to run Sage, Mathematica, Latex, Adobe Illustrator...).

I have been going back and forth trying to decide whether to get an ipad. I feel that I want one but couldn't really find a reason to need one. I finally convinced myself that I could use it to browse the web and send emails while using my Macbook Pro as a music server (since when being used as a music server it is not very portable, having too many thingies plugged into it). Then it occured to me that I just need to get an Mac mini to use as a server and my MB Pro will be free again. So now I am back to square one.... no reason to get an ipad (except to be cool of course)... also now a need to get a Mac Mini....

I agree with the monkey, the 650's are fun. I liked them better than the 580's I had. Someday I will probably buy a 600.

Sorry about the knee Nate. Congrats Monkey! Flooding is really not fun. I have spent the evening filling in my 2009 annual report... which means taking everything that I already have on my cv and cutting and pasting it into some stupid f***ing forms on the web... a real pain.

I am envious of you.
