  1. Is the setup at your house Mike? I'd put the BHSE on the second shelf, the BHSE PS and Apex Peak/Volcano on the bottom shelf and the PS AUdio PWD MKII on top. Do you think it would be too top heavy like that (the PWD MKII is pretty heavy).
  2. ^I think Steve sold his tools so that isn't probably going to work.
  3. Do you have a portable fax machine with you Jeff?
  4. I'm pretty sure I can assemble a rack, just don't want to find/order the parts and have someone drills hole for me, sand/paint.... that's a lot of work and $200 isn't that much money.
  5. No way I'm DIYing a shelf that holds the BHSE. I am seriously lacking in building skills.
  6. No. I can buy another rack. I can buy a fan and point it at the BHSE when it is on. I just felt the top of the top rack and it is even hot. Hmm. Edit: I've always liked the look of the Salamander rack (the spacing between racks with 3 shelves is probably around 12 inches, I have 9 inches right now). http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=SMA3
  7. Yes, but there is a lot of dust (very fine white powder) in my apartment (I think from the concrete ceilings) and I am worried about getting the dust/white powder in the amp. I would think that would be worse than having it on the second shelf.
  8. Fleetwood Mac - Rumours.
  9. I realize that but I also don't want to ruin the BHSE. The shelf is cheap to replace.
  10. Hmm, just saw this post from Justin on HF: http://www.head-fi.org/t/439657/headamp-blue-hawaii-special-edition/1830#post_8348709 "for testing I stack the BHSEs on 3 shelves (see a pic several pages back or at www.facebook.com/HeadAmp) which are spaced about 16" apart and there's no difference in temperature between the amps on the 3 shelves. so i would recommend at least 8" of air above the tubes if the amp is on a middle shelf"
  11. I am more concerned about putting a75 pound object on it in the future (or someone putting a lot of weight on it) and it breaking on top of the BHSE. I hadn't even thought about it catching on fire.
  12. It's dry and I'm listening. Maybe I should shave my head so I don't have to wait in the future. I have had the BHSE on for several hours and I noticed that the underside of the top shelf is really warm (the shelf above is only about 3/4" above the BHSE). Can a lot of heat make the shelf above become weaker (so that it cannot handle as much weight without cracking/collapsing). I was trying to avoid putting the BHSE on the top shelf because of fine white dust in the apartment. I don't really have much on the shelf right now but might but the BHSE on it in the future if I buy another place without concrete ceilings.
  13. I just got everything setup and then took a shower - now I have to wait for the hair to dry to listen. :(
  14. I just realized that. I guess I should've looked more carefully before posting.
  15. Very cool Jacob.
  16. On the Justin BHSE, there is also a male and female end. I am concerned about different rotation of the cord when you plug it in (it plugs in with a 3 by 3 grid). Perhaps I should look closer, maybe there are some grooves so that it can only plug in one way.
  17. I was moving my setup around and unplugged all the cables without paying attention to how they were plugged in. Is there a certain direction that the umbilical cord needs to be plugged in? or can someone send me a copy of the instruction manual? Don't know where my manual is right now.
  18. Looks amazing Doug.
  19. I looked at the previous years and this year was 1.5 times the amount we paid 3 years ago. Can't really complain since we don't have state income tax.
  20. Happy Birthday Bonnie!
  21. Found out that I owe an extra $1550 in 2015 property taxes. I also only found it out because I went to download the receipt for the amount I had paid online. At least I found out before owing a bunch of interest and before filing my federal income taxes.
  22. Couldn't they just get it from an email? Emails are not exactly secure.
  23. Not even close. This guy was an idiot.
  24. Some drunk guy came up and put his arm around me tonight... he doesn't know how close he came to getting kicked in the nuts (and I was wearing Docs).
