To be fair, I never owned the D7000's, only tried a pair at CanJam after having owned a pair of D2000 for some time. Basically, I didn't feel that they were that much better than the D2000. If you are interested, I would be happy to lend you my DX1000's.
Dinny, I would go for the DX1000 or Shure SRH840 over the D7000. Of course, this is assuming you cannot find a mint CD3000. I should also tell you that you are going to be disappointed in all of these choices and just stick the JH13's in your ears. Since I got the JH13's, my closed headphones have seen very little use.
Used the iPad in the car yesterday (I was not driving of course) with Pre. Except for streaming video, it seemed to work well - though on bumpy roads, I mistyped many letters. Tried watching the red sox game on MLB at bat and the video was pretty choppy. I don't know if that had to do with the fact that I was using 3G or because I was in a moving vehicle using 3G.
I went by the local record store today. Saturdays are usual busy there because of the free live music and St. Arnold beer but today was especially crowded. Hopefully them sold some music well.
After the Astros started off the season at 0-7, I decided that I am probably going to need to watch some other teams this season so.... I bought a premium subscription to mlb.tv. Guess I might as well get the mlb.tv ipad app while I am at it.
Finally gave up and bought a Belkin Pleat Sleeve for the ipad (they were out of the Belkin Vue and Grip sleeves at amazon). I still am going to get the Apple case when they are back in stock. I just got tired of carrying the ipad in a pillow case. Does anyone know if the Belkin case will hold the Apple case (with the ipad inside)?
