What did you do today?
Took my husband to the audiologist to get impressions made for the ES5's. While there I got impressions made for Westone custom earplugs for sleeping. I cannot wait to stop using those disposable foamy things.

Bryan's Pico DAC and Pico Slim. (If anyone is interested in a very nice blue Pico Dac/Amp, let me know since I will mostly likely be selling mine.)

What did you do today?
Bought some airline tickets to DC (for vacation) for the beginning of August. I have never been to DC so I thought it would be fun to see the sights. I have been spending the morning searching on TripAdvisor for a hotel (there are just too many). I was thinking it would be best to stay downtown or maybe in Dupont Circle. Any suggestions for areas to stay in, hotel recommendations, and/or restaurant recommendations and things to do while there? Also, any hotels/areas to avoid?

What did you do today?
And no whiskey, how exactly did you get in here. @AL: Very cool. I just finished running a two week summer math program for high school girls. This makes me happier and sadder than ever. There are only 20 girls in the program and we (me, two grad students and a postdoc) are with them all (school) day long so we get to know them really well. They are great girls (most of them), really bright, happy to learn and I am always sad to see them go. On the other hand, I am ecstatic that I will get to get back on my night owl schedule and that I will actually have time to get back to my research next week!!! Plus, it is really tiring being around real live (albeit very wonderful) people all day long.

iPad apps
Oops, I meant Word Genius Lite. I haven't tried the non-lite version yet but I might as well. I also have Letter Chain and Boggle on the ipad but I like the format and speed of Word Genius the best. The one thing I don't like about WGL is the dictionary - too many words that are not actually english words.

iPad apps
I should try this browser. I have mostly really boring apps. I do like "Word Lite" (a version of Boggle), "Crosswords," and "Scrabble" though.

Vicki...The only Queen at CanJam?
Ok, fair enough. By the way, where is your gay pride avatar Steve? Happy Gay Pride Week everyone! Our festival/parade is also this weekend (not quite the celebration taking place in SF but still fun). Rainbow Brite is awesome. I am upset that they are making her "sexier" now.

Briefcases, Bags, and the Murse
Sounds good. I was looking for a soft bag that wasn't too bulky, could carry a modest amount of camera gear, plus wallet, ipod/jh13, phone, sunglasses, ipad. This should work out pretty well I think.

Briefcases, Bags, and the Murse
@Jeff: How is the Retro 20 holding up. I just ordered one in black. Would have liked the 10 but, after reading some reviews, I thought the 20 would be a better for the ipad. I am hoping that this bag is softer and more form fitting than the Crumpler bags.
