You just got to know the right people.
  6. Once again, I found myself searching for information on a future ipad specific itunes Remote app. Unfortunately, I just found this so I am guessing it may be a while before we have one. AppleInsider | Apple's iTunes Remote app was developed by one person - report

  8. Brent, really sorry to hear that. We are here for you.
  9. That's a lot of Fever!
  10. Yay Naaman!!! :prettyprincess:
  11. Yeah, you tease.
  12. Mike, Thanks for the offer. I'll check with the local Apple store in Houston this weekend to see if they have one. If they don't and you have an extra, i may be interested.
  13. Tried the Apple store in Annapolis... no magicalness there.
  14. Yep, it is pretty close. Now to convince the family that we need to take a trip to the mall.
  15. I starting to get annoyed with Apple. I ordered the Magic Trackpad on the 27th through the education store. They had it listed as shipping in 3-5 days (even though the non-education store had it listed as shipping in 24 hours). Since I was going out of town, I thought this would be fine. Unfortunately, I got an email from Apple stating that it won't ship until the 18th now!!!!! Argggggggg!
  16. Sure, now you tell me (left the city this morning to visit my in-laws in Annapolis). I will put it on the list for the next trip.
  17. There are 2 Pizzeria Paradiso's in DC, one in GT and one in Dupont circle. Don't know which is better. I'll have to try out Lost Dog Cafe and Black Squirrel when I back for work in September.
  18. Colin: Sorry to hear about your mom.
  19. Museums are also fun and we saw a few of them but I get a little tired of them quickly. Jeez, 14 hours seems like a long time to practice in one day! My day largely consisted of sleeping in and doing research on my family tree at the National Archives.
  20. Visited the Library of Congress which was a truly beautiful building. Visited the Senate in session - was actually quite interesting. Went to Avenue Q - ok but not worth the hype in my opinion.

Kindle vs Ipad: Kindle has a much longer battery life, is lighter, easier to read with and is cheaper (plus the free 3g). Ipad is much better reading for pdfs because of the zoom. If you are doing a lot of flipping through pages (and not just reading a book straight through, the ipad might have an advantage... I don't really do this except with pdfs). Also, the new Kindle is supposed to be a little faster.

Wayne: Try the 3 DX. I prefer the DX (over the non-DX).
  23. You could always sharpen it and use it for a backup knife.
  24. Damn that sucks Naaman! Hoping for the best.
  25. Day 1 of vacation. Waiting at the airport for my flight to DC.
