Sitting at the airport right now waiting for my flight to Cali. My mom just had surgery (she is ok but in a lot of pain and is in for a long recovery) so I am going back "home" to take care of her.

Good advice Al. I thought the Eagle Rare 17 was good but not as nice as the Weller or last year's Sazerac 18 or Handy. I guess I am going to have to search out the Stagg after all. Anyone like to ship to Texas?

I bought my last two TVs from amazon - it was great. You can schedule a date/time windows to deliver. They will come in, set up the TV and make sure it is working before leaving. (At least this is how things were up to a year ago).

Yeah, I figured that. On the other hand, I was doing a million other things at the time so it was either the bread machine or nothing. Cool!

I used one of those packets of active dry yeast. The directions for the bread maker called for active dry yeast (no proofing mentioned) so I figured it didn't rise because the yeast had an "best by" date of Nov 09. Guess I haven't done much baking in a while. Do you recommend always proofing first even for a bread machine? I don't really want to use the "instant" bread machine yeast. I suppose I should make real bread in an oven. I suck at baking.

Tried to make bread in the bread maker with "expired" yeast, it didn't work so well.

Ric: Do you want me to buy it? I am sure it will then drop to $499 within a couple of days.

My non-BYE week non-IR non-kicker players on the bench did pretty well today with 21, 25, and 40 points.

That sounds expensive and dull. I suppose it is useful to be able to see though.
