  1. Concept2 Model D indoor rowing machine
  2. Couldn't find anything to buy either.
  3. Damn Chris Johnson decided to not score any points this week. That is just pathetic especially since he was up against one of the worst defensive teams (Houston Texans). Unless my kicker get a lot of field goals in the last half of the game, it looks like I will have my third loss in a row. @Vicki: You totally kicked butt this week!!!
  4. Get a cow? Perhaps cows and gators don't play well though.
  5. That mac and cheese recipe looks good so does the pizza. @Mike: Did you make your own sauce too? We usually cheat and use pasta sauce from a jar. The pizza stone is key.
  6. Finally got around to upgrading the ipad and Apple TV and airplay is great. There is only one complaint I have but maybe someone here knows how to fix it. I can choose a youtube video to play on my ipad (via the you Tube app) and then tell it to play it on the Apple TV. However, when I "close" or maybe I should say suspend the You Tube app, the video stops playing on the Apple TV. Anyone know how to fix this without having to search and play directly from the Apple TV? Not sure if someone already asked this as I haven't been following all the airplay stuff as much as would usually due to my schedule last week.
  7. Very nice, a great recording! I have tried the low top Chuck Taylor but I still prefer my Vibram Five Fingers for lifting and everything else in the gym. Went by the liquor store to pick up some cocktail supplies. When I got home, I realized I bought the wrong bottle of Old Raj gin (got the 92 proof instead of the 110, oh well). I also forgot the Sofia Mini sparkling wine cans.
  8. Flew back home after a very long, tiring, and stressful week. I am really glad I was able to be there for my mom but I hope this sort of thing doesn't happen very often. In fact, when I saw my husband at the airport, I was so happy/relieved, I starting crying. The good news is that I seemed to have lost about 5 pounds over the last week.
  9. Congrat to your daughter Craig. x5 on the gorgeous part. That smoked bird looks great Mike.
  10. Took my mom home from the hospital just in time for the holiday. She is very happy to be out of there. I will be happy to have internet access again.
  11. More good news today... my mom does not have congestive heart failure! They have also taken her off the antibiotics finally and are going to watch her for a day. If she is still improving tomorrow, they are going to let her go home. I will be happy to not have to go to the hospital for a while. My fingers are crossed.
  12. A bottle of Maison Surrene to take back to Texas.
  13. Thanks for all the support. We still don't know what is causing the fluid in her lungs. Doesn't seem to be pneumonia since her white blood cell count is normal, and she doesn't have a cough or fever. Nevertheless, they are still pumping her full of antibiotics, sigh. We did find out that it wasn't a blood clot via CAT scan. They also took an echocardiogram but didn't get the results yet. We should know more tomorrow. I spent a lot of the day pacing in the hallways of the hospital. I was supposed to go back tomorrow morning but changed my flight to Friday. Hopefully she will be home by then. Unfortunately, it means my poor husband has to spend Thanksgiving alone.
  14. Jeez Vicki, that is absolutely horrible. I am so sorry for your friend. I am sure you know what to do to help get it through it. I haven't been around very much because I have been at the hospital with my mom all day for the last two days. She had surgery on Tuesday, was sent home Wednesday and everything seemed to be ok. However, she was having trouble breathing so after talking to the doctor who did the surgery, I took her to the urgent care on Saturday morning. They found a "spot" on the chest x-ray (which I guess meant fluid in the lungs) and since she was recovering from surgery, they decided to admit her to the hospital. Yesterday they were thinking pneumonia and started her on a milliion antibiotics. Although I wasn't thrilled that she could have pneumonia, she is strong so I figured they would just pump her with the antibiotics, she'd get better and go home. Unfortunately, the new doctor today didn't like that diagnosis since my mom didn't have a fever and wasn't coughing that much. So now they have some new possibility for the fluid in the lungs, one of which is Congestive heart failure which I am *really* hoping she does not have. But until she get an Echo tomorrow and some more tests, we won't know much more. Sigh. Anyway, just thought I would check in and give you an update.
  15. Damn them! I was hoping to take a quick trip to Total Wine down near my parents' house to see if they had some Stagg but I don't think I will get a chance to do that.
  16. No luck on the liquor cabinet. My parents don't keep booze in the house.
  17. Oops, double post - damn phone.
  18. Sitting at the airport right now waiting for my flight to Cali. My mom just had surgery (she is ok but in a lot of pain and is in for a long recovery) so I am going back "home" to take care of her.
